how many time would you like him to answer that?

or are you just checking to see if he's sticking to his story?

My likely useless thoughts from <1hr semi-sport-paxing in the rain and 3 days observation:

Sumptuous. What else to say? if you can't get comfy in them, then boo hoo.

    See attached pics.

    http://aussieexotics.com/drivers/displayimage-12929.html

I only spent a few minutes playing with this, but I've never seen anything quite so smooth and easy to use, it makes the M5 system look like a Commodore 64.

Whilst I was in it we never once saw a long clear road where you could just pedal-to-the-metal so I can't comment on power - it seemed adequate. For driving on B-roads though, the amount of shifting around 360C had to do just to see around the bloody A-pillar was disconcerting to say the least. The car is big, but unlike a lot of sporty GT cars it doesn't shrink at speed - you remain aware of it's size.

Well - meh. I was expecting it to be quiet, but still a nice symphony under load. To be honest, I can't describe the sound the car makes - because in three days around it and an hour inside it - I never actually heard it.

It seemed smooth, however I think 360C had some issues with being unable to select the gear he actually wanted (extremely frustrating at the time), and we tried several different "modes", but it made no perceptible difference to the handling/ride/gearbox/power - unlike say the M5 which is night and day.

In the end - beautiful car, I glad there's people out there driving them so I can look at them, I just wish they'd get a decent exhaust on them to give them some aural character, and only hope the dealers/manufacturers come to the table to make them as good as they should be.

I forgot about the odd gearbox selection problems at redline, thanks for reminding me Ash. Every so often under full noise at redline, the box wouldn't change up when you hit the paddle. It would just hold the lower gear until the cutout. Very weird and frustrating; but I only ever experienced it in hard driving during the Tassie run. No sign of it in more sedate driving since returning home.

The rest of your comments seem fair enough to me. Nice pics as usual :)

Thanks - I'd have taken more but really, talk about pics doing no justice. "Sumptuous" is where you *start* describing this car.

Like you said - it's "a very nice place to be for an hour or two a day".

Ok, so I picked the GT up on Saturday as planned. It now has 500 km on board and the good news is that there is no trace (so far) of the brake switch/electronic problems that have plagued the car since it was almost new. The bad news however is that the windscreen washers no longer work *sigh* The headlight washers continue to work and they run off the same mechanism. It's just one thing after another with this car :(
