Currently pulling the engine to re-replace the water pump seal and explore the reasons why one bank was not fully firing during the first start. As I pulled the fuel return lines (low pressure side), the non running banks's return line looked dry. The high pressure side by the fuel filter had pressure. Is it correct, that the FI system has a pressure relief valve that opens once the system reaches full pressure? Presumably this valve regulates the FI pressure. Assuming that understanding is correct, I plan to run the pumps with a temporary line attached to the low pressure side & route it into a bucket. I am assuming that the non-running bank had not yet been fully purged. Comments appreciated - - does this sound like a prudent path foreward? Any suggestions or procedures for ensuring a purged FI system prior to the next start? TIA for the input! Rgds, Vince
