    hello,

most people after driving their ferraris, they switch off the main battery switch located in the left side of the boot.

I heard someone telling me that in the 2008 f430 models, this main switch is not avaliable.

    is that true?

If so then how do u guys have enough life in the battery to start up the car after a long stop
    thanks

All f430's have the main battery switch in the right side of the boot.
But; don't use it too often

dealer says not to use the cut off switch becauase thats the equiv to disconnecting the battery and if that happens the 430s need to be reprogrammed

That's correct. On the other hand it is not advisable to connect the battery charger too long (more than 4 hours) without switching off the battery, as the engine electronics then may be damaged.

ive never heard of this before. my dealer advises keeping it plugged in all the time. my car was plugged in from november to april had no issues. the charger did not become warm either, as ive heard some report. i dont use the cig lighter though, i use the connection that is underneath the glove box.

Hmm. I use my battery tender all the time. Wired directly in behind the driver's seat. (360). I really don't think this would or could cause damage to the engine computer. . .

I just got my 2008 f430 3 weeks ago and it doesnt have a switch anymore.
under the dash there is a trickle charger attachment.
Had a 360 before so i know what your talking about.

My '07 F430 battery tender has just started getting uncomfortably warm. I'm on my 2nd one... the first one never worked at all. I'm going to bring the dang thing in again to try to get this resolved. I wish they'd get this figured out. I may just have the shop put a Del-Tran connector on the battery and I'll use the tender I used on my 360 which worked flawlessly.
