I am addicted to watches, and I am looking to get a new one in the next couple months... Right now I am leaning towards a Breitling Super Avenger (see pic!) but I am an afficionado of ALL big watches. And by big, I mean BIG... no 42mm wanna-be big watches, I am talking 47mm and UP! (the Breitling is 48.4mm). So, lets see some pics of BIG watches! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Where are the U-boats?! Those are BIG! They have the 50mm and the 55mm! There may be a 53mm too, I can't remember but I thought I saw something that was an odd size listed on a web site. James Austin, TX
Nothing wrong with big watches! I am 6'3" 220lbs and my wrists are 7.5" around. A 48mm watch on me is like a 42mm watch on a lesser man of more effeminate stature. Women love big guys - but we need accessories that fit
Looks gigantic! but.... I found their website and it's only 42mm including the crown Too bad - it's kinda cool looking, mechanical, good workmanship. But still too small
Only thing I dislike about the BR is that it's been seemingly knocked off by just about everyone I like Doxas but the largest are in the 44mm range. Big, but not BIG. Some of the Pan special editions are in the 47mm range, I believe. Anyone know their Pan's well enough to know which ones are the larger size?
46mm Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean on my small (7") wrist. Makes it look even bigger! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sexy! (the watch, not your wrist LOL) Thanks for posting that... that's yet ANOTHER watch I MUST HAVE. Always loved the orange Omegas.
I like the Super Avengers so much that I have 2 of them. One is white dial on bracelet, the other is black dial on black rubber strap. And of course, I can switch the straps if I want a different look for each one. Right now I'm looking at the Corum Admirals Cup Competition which has a 48mm case.
Got any pics of the SA's? I am trying to decide between the white dial and black dial... I keep going back and forth although I am leaning towards white dial with bracelet. And of course I will get the bezel fully loaded with diamonds, maybe the strap too, because it looks so classy like that! (just kidding about the diamonds). That Corum is an interesting watch too - did a search and found the tourbillon... very nice but I am sure very $$$ also for that model.
I'll post or send you some pics. I like them both, but it sure is hard to beat the white dial with SS bracelet. As for the diamonds - they do look good on the bezel, but damn they are expensive...
i have a super avenger and changed the bracelet to blue rubber to match the blue face...I luv it. Also just bought this few months back...luv it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
How big is the Piggie? I know some of the special editions (like the T3) are in the 46-47mm range, but I think they also count the crown and protective bars around it on watches like the T3.
