    So, the 328 (87) recently has this new problem where when shifting into a new gear and giving it gas the car gurgles for a minute and then the power kicks in... very strange.

    Any ideas?

    I'm going to go wrench on her now and see if I can find anything.

    Start out with a good dose of Techron Fuel Injector cleaner [not fuel system cleaner]. See if it goes away.

    if I can't get my hands on the chevron one, would it be fine to use something else, like STP?

    Drew I'd definitely find the Techron. They sell it everywhere! Walmart, Costco, even any Chevron. I have a habit of ONLY fueling my 328 at a Chevron (Premium, natch!) and dumping a bottle in the tank every few months for the good that's in it.

    If that doesn't work there is a Bosch service center a street or two over from Tim Stanford, I had him send my injectors over there during the major. Speaking of the major, it is amazing the difference a comprehensive service makes in these cars. It runs and sounds GREAT! Now if only the rain would stop I could drive it more.....

    When Tim serviced my 308 many years ago, he sent my injectors to Bosch due to some stumbling on acceleration. Was not expensive at all and it worked!!
