    Texas of course!
Anyone know what seats from various manufacturers fit for sure? Adjustable or fixed back, and what some of the most comfortable are? Major concern on the adjustable is the total width from knob to knob, to clear the hand brake and console area, not just the bolsters, especially with sliders. Secondly, where is a good place to purchase them? Tried to get more feedback on this before, hope more here have changed seats out and can help me. This is for a 348 TS.

I know FBB and Plugzit have non-stock seats. I think they ran 348 Challenge seats. I was looking at Sparco's for mine.

You can run any sparco, omp seat and use their mounting plates on a slider. The slider will need some custom fabrication. The seatbelts will need to be rethought out because the 348 has the belts integral with the seat which IMO is bad on 8mm bolts but I guess they did the engineering on that.

These are not original 348 seats. They are certainly not challenge seats.

I have OMP ARS seats installed in my 348. They fit fine. They are slightly narrow. Mine are mounted to a flat bracket. I did have them mounted to stock sliders, but they sat rather high (I'm 6'). I have a racing harness. The only problem with any after market seat is you lose the seat belt.

    Nice seats, but very expensive.

Any fixed back Sparco or OMP seat? The problem I have with adjustable seats is clearance with with knobs against the console or E-brake. So I have been looking to compromise on a fairly comfortable fixed back seat if needed to get something to fix and working soon.

I'm toying with the idea of doing this mostly to have more leg/headroom. How about the sparco roadster:

    http://www.jaydm.com/sparco/seats/roadster.htm

It's light, doesn't look like it would be hard to get in and out. Recovered in leather, it could look really good.

Those sparco roadsters should work, and I agree about the leather, however what is the with? I don't plan on getting bigger, but I think I would want a seat to be able to fit up to a 38" waist to accommodate most drivers.

Rob, if I could find reasonably priced 355 seats, but then there is still the issue of seat belts. I'm going to leave the center shoulder belts, and add lap belts to the seat bottom similar to the oem setup for quick street use, then down the road a bar and harness, where you would use them instead of the single shoulder belt.

355 spider seats have built in belts to the seat. They would just be a bolt in with no belt issues

That's my understaning too. But I have long legs, and I think someone mentioned they lost 1 or 2 inches of legroom with these.

yup, that's a problem for me too. I'd love for someone to try the roadster route or somthing similar and post some detailed pics and measurements to see if you can gain some leg/head room. I just don't want to be the first to do it ;)
