Hi everyone my insurance is due and I only had the car for 2 months so I upgraded my policy from the previous car (911).

Where does everyone recommend for insurance. I'm 50 with full NCB, tracker, garaged etc. BUT Remus Sports exhaust so YES to the dreaded any modifications question. The Remus claims to add 3-5% BHP.

Any ideas or can I say the Remus is not a performance modification?

    Thanks

I use AON mate, not the cheapest but excellent service. 01483 706070

As regards you telling them the exhaust gives an improvement in power (which they wont like)

    a. there is no proof of this, the figures are CLAIMED
    b. In my experience sports exhausts on 360's improve the sound and nothing else anyways.

so I dont think you need to tell them there is a power increase anyways. :)

I used Aon as well for my old 348. No increase in premium for 'sports exhaust fitted' noted on the schedule (don't just accept an over the phone agreement).

That is good. I changed to admiral, 2004 360 spider, 41 yo, full ncb, private drive, tracker, declared modified exh , upped the mileage to 8k this year, at £600. Previous insurer Marsh wanted a grand. Give imconfused.com a go, the have shaved a good bit off my other car, house and travel insurances.

My 360 (sports exhaust) is on a family fleet policy. Im 29, NCB and had the car since i was 22, im now paying £580 (give or take £20-£30) with Zurich Private Clients.

I was paying serious ££ when i first bought it, but having had it for so many years with no problems apparently counts for a lot

they are good if you dont want to actually DRIVE the car, their quote was competitive for the Strad, but was limited to 3000 miles??? WTF??? One trip to Europe then park it up for the year?? Dont think so......
