What's your range / mileage? 328 owners

I would suggest it relates to how hard the right foot is pressed.

500 mile trip. You will need to stop at least once I'd say. Enjoy. Wish I was doing that trip.

 

One stop should do it. I generally get around 20 or so on road trips but the altitude helps. I don't cruise at 90 either which would necessitate 2 stops. You can get 300 miles on a tank easy.

I agree that one stop should do it. I picked mine up in Philidelphia, PA and drove it back to Raleigh, NC with one stop. It's around 500 miles and the low fuel waring light came on when I got to the hood.

 

FYI, in regards to the fuel level warning light. When I did my fuel line replacement I ran the car for about 15 min. around my neighborhood after the light came on solid. When I drained the tanks there was approximately 4 gallons left in the tank.

 

Why run it close to empty? I try & not go below 1/4 tank.
The gas gauge is notoriously unreliable.
So I'd suggest buy a bottle of techron & dump it in & fill it & to the "Italian tune up" to the next 1/4 tank marker

BTW: I don't track mileage per tank, but I do track mpg....about 15mpg.

 

Thats actually a very good point.

If you worked on miles per tank and your car was slightly thirsty compared to another, you may find yourself runnig short.

 

Not sure how far I go on a tank since I never let it get below a quarter and extrapolating the 1st half doesn't hold to the 2nd. I get about 15/gal though.

 

200-400 miles depending on style. on line gas mileage report are at 17 and 22 mpg city and highway (i don't it).

 

I don't track mileage nor cost of gas for the Ferrari, NOR do I trust the gauge which sometimes shows zero/warning light on, but after a couple min, will report the correct amount of 1/4-1/2 full [Happens on both Ferraris...kind of like the speedo reporting 5mph off]

BUT, my best advice is to always keep at least a 1/4 tank full and look for filling it when it gets there...that's all I could offer, and I have driven the 456/Mondial T over 800 miles on some trips: San Diego to Nor CAL

 

on my trip to buffalo from home last fall, i avg. 16mpg. that was occassional running at 80mph also.
when i did the fuel hose pm last winter, i measured 2.5 gal. left in the tanks as the warning light
just came on.
my estimation would be 275 miles possible before filling up. having run out of fuel in sleepy hollow,
you do not want to drive past the first warning light indication.

 

Please do not get me wrong I love the 308/328 series cars but they do beat you up on long rides- you may want to plan on breaking the trip into several legs- personally I am only good for about 150 miles in one stretch

 

I averaged 20 MPG on my trip from AR to NC. I'm larger than the average baby calf and I felt fine after 12 hours of driving the car.
