The new EVO has a feature on the 8C and they like it a lot... hoping they post some more videos based on that review.

The 8C has a real bark to it. Also love the crackle on deceleration. A sure fire collectors car.

It would be better if that guy just did not speak so much. I love that car. Top Gear did not think much of the handling. But isn't it a Maserati Coupe in disguise? If so, shouldn't it handle pretty well, or did Alfa monkey with the suspension set up?

Don't forget that it was absolutely pissing with rain when they tested it, and Clarkson is certainly not the worlds greatest driver. Remember when he slammed the handling of the Lotus Elise? At least they did show it when Lotus rang up and said "the problem is not the car, it's the driver..." then sent an engineer to show how it was done.

Yep. Top Gear just says dry or wet... That was a monsoon! And Jeremy is trying to be funny for the cameras to boost ratings etc. Top Gear magazine (new Supercars special that just it the stands in US) really liked the car and Evo just gave it 4.5/5 stars and commented on the great handling. I do believe there is some "extra" body roll built into the car because it is not meant to tread on Ferrari's territory but most seem to agree it is a great car. Besides, Alfa's are supposed to have some flaws right? Otherwise it would be a VW.

Would be very curious to see how it did in the dry on TG track - most seem to believe it would be a 1:25 - 1:26 range. Not great but not bad...

Supposed to be here already. Or nearly so. It was launched at the Alfa convention / Meadowbrook concours in 2007. I think Napolis said he has one on order. (?)

Yes... 84 units are coming to the U.S. I am being told to expect mine in September timeframe but they did not sound too sure... Most other countries have already received their orders.

Look on YouTube at Jeremy Clarkson's review on Top Gear. As a work of art, he loves it; as a car, he doesn't.

The two cars can't sound exactly the same since one has a cross plane crankshaft and the other has a flat plane crankshaft. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V8_engine

although id say it does sounds better than a mustang "F50lover" is correct... i believe the alfa has and 90degree crank while the 430 is a real screamer with the "flat plane crank. thats why it sounds a little NASCARish...

Yes, the 8C has a cross-plane crank. BTW, I absolutely adore the crackling noise it makes when it blips the throttle on downshifts.

Thanks for the clarification, I assumed they would have kept it the same as the 430.
