hahaha, you'd need one after you finished it, i think we figured it'd cost about 10-15,000 if you tried all of the beers,

Shooting pool and/or teaching them to play pool. Relaxing, time to have a conversation, typically at a place where drinks are optional, and some moments where they are bent over and you can flirt with them a little. Provides some good initial chemistry.

I suggested this to my roommate a few months ago. He said it was on of the best times he's had on a date. Too bad she worked too much so he gave up on that.

I'd also suggest go-carting. A concert would be a great idea too, if you both have an equal interest in the band. Might not be the best for talking. But that's why you grab a bite to eat before and after the show.

I'm a cheap ass but this is what works for me. I assume you have hobbies. Personally I think showing your "best" self is best expressed when you're having fun, and what's more fun than doing something you like? Personally I actually like cooking, so when I have girls over I make dinner and then put on a movie or show them some interesting art or music. That's an evening for less than $15. You don't have to spend a fortune on stuff (make salmon steaks, they're cheap and damn tasty!). I also like taking girls to the driving range. A bucket of balls is like $9 and there's one within walking distance of my place.

Hope this helps, just make sure you get them back to your place after ;)

For alot of women, if you can cook and they like your food, you are always an "option" despite anything else.. Its good to show your natural abilities first, so she can appreciate who you are from day one, instead of learning as she goes along.. It doesnt matter if she doesnt do the same, because atleast you will know for yourself if she is even worth your time. And chances are, if you show your natural side, she will in-turn do the same, as she slowly becomes comfortable with you. If time proceeds and you still do not feel that she is being genuine, then you should question her, before letting things build up...
Things build up: mind games begin... Mind games begin: lies start happening...

dont waste your time on one person when you are still young.

    Hiking and picnic. Horseback riding.

Something fun and slightly quirky like flying a kite, playing frisbee or something that is a small project working together (one of the fun times we had while dating was with a group doing a service project to help put lava rocks around a community fishing lagoon in a cove in rural Oahu). If you want Super Brownie Points try and get her to volunteer for a project with you at a food kitchen, homeless shelter, kids hospital, nursing home, SPCA or other charity (it will weed out lazy girls too), then have a barbecue afterwards.

For the girl, it's usually more about the thought and effort it took to put something together rather than cost or just paying for an event.

The problem with that though, is that some girls do not want to be at your house for a first date. They'll automatically assume there's an alterior motive. Especially since your cooking dinner and having some wine.

But there are those cooking classes. That would be a great first date.
