my dealer said me the 430 replacement will be presenter probably at geneva 2009 and first delivery end of 2009 do you have other info? ciao davide
Most other threads suggest Autumn 2009 launch with early 2010 deliveries - although this ties in with the 430 US exemption which permits manufacture to Sep 2009 it might end up getting delayed to Geneva March 2010
seems to make sense, from past timelines. most models run 5 years....we did see the finished F430 running around Mexico in early 2005 for a photoshoot with deliveries in late 3rd quarter. seeing official pics in mid 2009 would not surprise me and 430 Scuderia will be nearing its cycle run. the only pic i have seen so far of a test mule running around...note the center exhaust! If its going to be presented in 09, i guess we should have seen some spy pics already.. Or maybe the attention/visors is still on California..
Sorry but , it just looks like a 360 with scud wheels, strange rear venturi, no exhausts (cant really say whats that on the center) and taped up engine cover. For all we know that could have been the mule for scuderia.. What i mean is, not a mule but the actual car on disguise/taped up.. Can you believe that there is only 'one" spy pic of a possible best selling new Ferrari which will be announced in 12 months, and that "pic" is a mule not the actual car just chassis, haven't they already come up with the design? We still have not seen artist impressions/scetches, and that is not normal, imo.. (or there is and i missed it)

(or there is and i missed it) Ferrari are the best at keeping consumers guessing about new models. if you look back, even the a long-wheelbased 348 was a test bed for the Enzo for many months. how many spy pics or test mules did you see before the California was released? do a search, the most ever caught on video or pics was a shortened 599! not to mention, Ferrari does not multiple mules running around until closer to development. i am sure they already have a design but the pic clearly shows (and seems to be a trend with Ferrari) that they are testing engine and mechanicals, first and foremost.
I see your point and you are probably right. I guess i'm just frustrated because of California and, as i do not like F430 my only hope is F142 to be beautiful (for my taste) to be my next Ferrari. (oh, if i can bag a scud mid 09, that'll do it too )
i am sure the F142 will be ground breaking in performance. lightweight and a testbed of Ferrari technology. not to mention, will probably be as fast as a Scud but will be easier and more comfortable to achieve those speeds. its base MSRP will probably be priced similar to the Scuderia. like most Ferrari's of late though, it will probably take a little to get used to and will be breathtaking in real life versus pictures. we are probably a year away before we start seeing some official pics!
