The only Firestone on Monroe that I know of is between the McAlpine park entrance and Sardis Rd North next to Auto Bell and BP. According to their website it's considered Matthews.

" There was nothing I could do to stop him"

Mario Andretti in a post race interwiew after being passed the second time for the win by Danny Sullivan at the Indy 500. The first pass by Sullivan, spun Danny around in a perfect 360 in turn one, (without hitting anything) at over 220. The second pass was a few laps later when he caught Mario again and made it stick for the win. One of the best moments in Indy history in my book.

    Mario is still my hero.

The Firestone is probably the new one at Galleria and Monroe road. If you are heading south on Monroe towards Matthews, it's just after you pass Sardis Road North and Food Lion on the right, just before the next stoplight at Galleria Blvd. It just opened this week.
