How long did it take you to do that work on your bench?...
I didn't mean it in the way it was taken, I just wondered why a picnic bench. Yes it's cool, and it is a work of art, but I think a painted work of art should be on a wall. Sorry , I didn't mean to offend you.
Love it---Think it looks awesome!!! As much time as I spend in my garage without any chairs, would love to have it to sit on when I need to refresh for a minute..
I know this will come as a shocker to some of you-but i don't like it. Luckily, i can't see it from my house, so enjoy it. I would say this is more of a craft than art. As with all things, to each his own. If everybody liked all the things i liked, it would be pretty boring.
Actually, I think it's a bit of both. The painting is certainly art. But I agree too, a certain amount of craftsmanship went into the construction of the entire piece. AFG, BTW: Did you have to cut the picture to make those pieces? Or did he paint it on separate boards? Very nice (IMHO) by-the-way. And I must complement you on your classy demeanor. I think you've handled the rude comments very well.
David, I emailed him a picture, and that is what I got. He told me, he put all the boards together, like on an easel, and painted it, then assembled them onto the bench.....and thanks for your last line......
