I also hear on the grape vine that Mr James is working up an invoice for his papa, But Papa says he needs to work off 19 years of investment by those involved. Also the Lusso has been seen on THE LOCK STOPS on more than once!!

Yes a fairly costly and elaborate education to prepare for cleaning cars, should have sent him to Meols Cop and spent the money on a Lusso!

Will be past later if the weather holds, keep yer ears open!

That is great news. We all should have enthusiastic 19 year old custodians to make sure that our cars are pristine right down to the interior of the exhaust tips!

Glad to see that the car is being driven as God and Enzo intended ( any redundancy is purely coincidental!).

Lovely (subversive) post. Plainly went clean over the heads of some regulars here... But isn't Classiche's approval a fine example of that programme's true 'stature'. No UK-based company could get away with such misrepresentation...or can anyone cite examples????

A collectible yank tank that is not "numbers matching" is next to worthless. Why Should a dancing donkey be any different ??
BTW I have been told by people in the "know" the ex McQueen lusso is also the wrong color (shade) of brown. Does that matter in the big picture, not really, but if its original and clean, to me thats priceless. restored and wrong is fabulous but wrong. Just my $0.02 worth but what do i know, i have neither the means or the time to own one, so good luck to anyone who does

Its a CAR thats all, If you have the means to buy thats one thing to take and show the car or object to others is another (And drive it god forbid on the road). Some of the best collections in the world do see daylight. I used to take my dogs in ALL my cars the look you get with a vintage ferrari with a Bull Mastiff is PRICELESS.

Just remember ALL cars where built to drive if I am not mistaken a member here had a testarossa with 150k on it a high milage ferrari is a proper ferrari. But it seems the older they get the less milage they have (Funny that) A bit like racing drivers the older they get the faster they where.

Yes ofcourse it should affect the value, but not as much as we are not talking production runs of millions like GM or Fords, etc.
I didn't realise it had been repainted??, but I'm no expert at all.

My understanding is it changed colour from the factory as soon as McQueen got it and again when it was restored prior to resale.
