So here is the deal. I have been trying to flip a 348 and have not had an offer to my liking. The primary reason is that the car has no service records. I really can’t blame anyone for not wanting a car without records and in need of a service. I did get a few lowball offers, but I’m trying to make money not loose it LOL.
I have decided to have the major done by the local Ferrari dealer. I could have gone with an independent, but I want the Ferrari stamp on it so a buyer gets the warm and fuzzy. I am going to use Hill bearings to boot.
If anyone is interested in the car let me know. I’m going to let it go to an F-Chatter for 43K. This is a 1990 Ferrari 348TS in titanium with 58K. It’s mechanically sound and drives well. CARFAX comes back clean with no stories.

Thanks. It's not a bad car just need the service and TLC. I have already been applying the TLC on the weekends. I repainted the heat shield on Sunday.

honestly, I wouldn't complain about getting "only" $43K for an off-red, 58K miles 348ts under any circumstance. Is this what you are asking, or have you sold it already?

I paid $36K for this dog 2 years ago, and it had less than half the miles of yours, and with a tubi to boot!

Matt, aka MBferrari is looking for one. He might bite on the color, but I don't know about a 2.5 car.

I don't think you need to take it to Ferrari for service.

I'd drop it off at Symbolic. I have had work done at both shops( local Ferrari dealer), and will only use Symbolic now. The very best when it comes to service.

Ah, Matt has already considered this car, then. Personally I am not a fan of Symbolic's business practices. To each his own. :)

Appears to be Motronics 2.7 - a TPS on each TB shown in the engine bay pic.

Good luck with the sale Rick!

    Rich,

I really am not being wise when I say that you might consider other methods of making a profit, as flipping 348s really is quite a risky and frankly a strange thing to be doing -- especially a 348 with such high mileage... nonetheless, good luck with the sale.

Talking about service, not buying a car. Couldn't comment about that. Would you rather have a car returned with missing fastners and such? Like ya said, to each his own.

Ah, I see that now. Hmm, late model year car maybe or is this a 1991? I do love this color though since it is not so commonly seen. Notice that the lower rockers and chin spoiler are not painted black. What about the engine deck lid? Again, I can't tell just what year this car is.

89 and early 90 had the 2.5, so most likely a later 90 model. Agreed on the color, looks great on the 348!

I didn't run around the USA looking for a car like this to flip. I got it for a song and can afford to do the service right and still sell it at a profit. If it doesn't go for 43K. I still have room to play. What's important to me is that I don't sell someone a car that's not right. I do everything 100 above board. Someone can get into a freshly serviced car for a good price. This might make a great car for someone who doesn't have pockets full of money. I turned my 348 from a rat into a gem by myself.
My Ferrari parts business and my new endeavor into wholesale cars is for fun. I don't do it to pay the rent.

Since the car doesn't have any records. I want a good service with the Ferrari seal of approval. It's already had a compression test that passed fine.

Thanks Pap!!! I like it too. I have had a few calls already about the car from people who love the color. One caller asked if I needed my head checked for paying for the service on the way out the door hahaha. My own 348 is coming up on it's service and I might be able to get a discount for her.

please enlighten me what the difference and pros and cons between a 2.5 and 2.7 is as well as how to tell (maybe mark it in a pic). When exactly did they switch ? Is there a vin break ?

    Thanks

That is a beautiful color. I'd pay $43 for it with a fresh service ... but I already have my Nero beauty. Good luck!
