Apparently Ferrari of Denver has a black Scuderia for sale at $465K. My friend saw the car and said it's absolutlely gorgeous. Black leather interior, red stitching, and red calipers. I have not seen the car nor do I have any affiliation with FOD.

    Its on the dealer website...
    http://www.ferrariofdenver.com/inventory_detail.cfm?id=1016

But there is a stipulation, which will be hard to meet:
"Titled but never driven, warranty from 5/28, available immediately at market value...but buyer CANNOT reside in another Ferrari dealer's zone."

Unless you live in the Denver area, or the dealer is willing to use a recently acquired PO Box in Denver as my address, I don't see how they are going to sell it on the open market-

doubt i would pay that much for a 430 of any sort... Considering what a Carrera GT cost was 2 yrs ago

Are you saying they have dropped the price from 465 to 425 already?

The Scud may be a great car in its own right but it's no Carrera GT and IMO not worth anywhere near $400k+.

I would love to see the comparison between the Lambo SL and the Scud.
Also a monster difference in price.

    Jeff,

Just wondering if you have driven both cars and what "driving" aspects of the CGT would you say is better than the Scud ?

CGT is a epic car , the engine is so balanced that it does not even have a fly wheel. Of course it is very limited and etc, etc.

I have driven both and my impression was completely different.

    Thanks - Franky

Lest we forget - the CGT's real competition is the Enzo and McMerc, not a souped up mainstream model like a 430 Scud... (excellent car that the 430S is)

I agree, CGT is in a totally different class than the Scud. While the Scud is amazing car, but CGT I think more of a collector super car

+1 on collectability and beauty of the CGT.

Road and Track documents the Scuderia beating the Enzo's times on the track.

Thru a special set of circumstances that I will not get into here, we have been given permission by FNA to sell the car above MSRP.

This is too subjective not having what we all agree is the definition of a great or super car. I am coming at it from a driving perspective and to many looks and collectability is a factor. They are both great cars, I have put my money on the scud which is being built as we speak. Well a small correction - the Italians are taking august off, so technically it's just sitting there in the factory.

CGt is a completely different experience from a Scud... To put things into perspective, a Scud is at the same level as a GT2 997...

The only factor a CGT needs is a good driver - with that, there is no place the Scud would come close (let alone equalize.) I think a Scud is a car you buy because you specifically want it.. Better performance out of a 430, but no "supercar" when stood next to the likes of a Zonda F or CGT even... Let the Enzo handle that criteria, while the Scud fills the "useless, semi-super mainstream sports car"... Cars in its category, which are just as useless: Gallardo SL, GT2 997 (its just traditional), and probably the Noble M12... Of course if you enjoy tracking and religiously take drives on backroads, then these cars are justifiable for THAT money (since they are indeed cheaper than the true "supercar" these days.) Other than that, 400k is better spent on a Cgt or new Murcielago...

well, therein lies the problem. most folks are in fact not good drivers. ironically (and excuse me if this isn't actually irony), most folks think they are good drivers. and the CGT doesn't need just a good driver, it needs a GREAT driver.

my point is, being easy to drive does add a lot of value.

wow, has the CGT really achieved that level of mythical status?

of course it has a flywheel; it is an internal combustion engine. that'd be like saying it doesn't need tires.
