Massa starts on clean side of the grid - and therefore slingshots past HK. Picks up a tow from LH and passes into turn 1.
Massa makes his car nice and wide for the race duration, hard tyres hold up better on the Ferrari, and wins in Hungary.

The thread is about *predictions*, not wishes. You and I both know that Massa is not going to win this race, and that he is an atrocious passer. You have him pegged as the winner, which we both know he does not have the talent or car to do.

It's not negativity, it's just an honest prediction. If it was about wishes... I'd like to see Kimi, Button, Kubica, Trulli or maybe Vettel win. I know that's not going to happen, the same way you know FM winning is not going to happen :)

Ron-this track is hard to pass on, and I'd like to win a fight straight up, ie no mechanical issues, etc. Ever since McLaren had their "engine mapping selecting" trick steering wheel everyone has been playing catch up....

I am being realistic. I do not share the majority's view of Massa.

When gloating, it's always best to wait until you're right, before you say you're right :D

I said he didn't have the talent, or the car.

Turns out it was the car.... today :D

No he wasn't, Hekki was. Massa made a great start and did a good job, that was about it.

If we're giving credit for effort F.A. may have had the best day of all. If he has any smarts he'll stay with Renault. A team that will be back, and soon.

That was about it?? Tony, you missed the point. Heikki won the event, but Massa won the day. He did a much better job than any other driver in Hungary, a first turn like no other race all year. Heikki did nothing special, lucked into his first win, congrats to him. That's racing.

But Massa and Glock converted a lot of fans to their camp today. They are the real winners.

Read Viszla's post above you - he got it right.

Massa didn't win the day - not even in fantasyland. He got a good start - that's it.

Alonso (whom I despise) did a MUCH better job than Massa did. If we're giving points for good drives, Alonso outscored Massa by a gigantic margin. The fact that you think he did a "much better job than any other driver" shows the level of bias that exists, and IMO shows that you agree with most who do not think Massa is that good of a driver. If you really thought he was that good, you wouldn't be fawning over a good-but-not-great performance and thinking it's his pièce de résistance.

Thanks for the "props" Mike but I wouldn't go quite that far in dismissing Massa's day. His start was magnificent and he was let down by his car not his talent.
