Thats very nice. He used the old Autograph Pocher F40LM trans-kit.
It costs almost a $1000.00+ the Pocher kit.

A well done LM conversion at a reasonable price. Just to nitpick a bit, there are things that aren't correct for an LM. However, it's a very nice build. Knowing what I had to pay to have mine commissioned, this is a bargain. F40 and Transkit are easily over $1K USD alone. Lots of hours in this build, too.

Very well done, and the money is also reasonable (still expensive for me though).

Hate to rain on everyone's parade.........but.....
The model is fantastic to the average collector/builder. It is indeed a nice build and at a reasonable price.
However it is pretty far from correct LM in many aspects. The lights, the rear grille, the seat, the entire engine compartment, the opening in the front hood etc. etc.
I believe that this model would score a lot higher if it was build in the regular street version variation. It practically IS a street version with a different wing and highly inaccurate lights and cutout hood + different rims.

I do believe you are correct but this is outstanding, regardless if a few specs are off.

    From http://www.scaleautoworks.com/FAQs.html

"What is a transkit? A transkit (short for "transformation kit") is a separate set of parts to add extra details to an existing kit. They are almost always produced by small independent companies, not by the maker of the original kit, and usually add an exponentially greater level of detail than the original kit provides. Unless specifically stated otherwise, you still need the base kit to build a complete model."

I see, thanks for the info. I had heard of things like the Top Studio sets before, i assume these are classed as a transkit then?

The problem with these builds is where to draw the line. You can easily spend $10K. The kit, transkit, other assorted detail kits are just the beginning. We had custom wheels done up, and they came out so nicely we didn't paint them. The labor for modifications, paintwork, decal application and build just add up. We went pretty close, but not all the way to cost-no-object level.
