    Stupid question ... Should the engine be off and the battery connected when testing this?

    Engine off, yes...but battery on or off doesn't matter for measuring the MAF's ohm resistance.

    Just reading through this thread. Good info. However in your above description "Bosch part # "0 280 212 018" is Ferrari 348/Mondial t M2.7 & M2.5 part #136374" I was wondering if you meant 5.2 Vs 2.5? Or am I missing something here?

    The 2.5 Motronic was used in '89 model year 348's. These cars have only one throttle position sensor.

    The Motronic 2.7 was used on late year build 348's '90 and on. There is an actual build number that they started using the 2.7 in, but I'm too lazy to look for it. These cars have a throttle position sensor on each throttle body.

    Also

    '94-'95 355's used the Motronic 2.7 and these cars use 2 MAFS.

    The 5.2 Motronic was used on '96 and above 355's. These cars have only one Mass Air Flow Sensor.
