It's my thinking that bank one (cylinder 1-4) is on the side of the luggage compartment, and that the exhaust are exiting thru the driver side.

I'm asking because the bank 2 had an empty cat while bank one had a regular cat. Now that both are empty, I thought I was going to see more pressure from the exhaust on the driver side, and I'm not. The fumes are also hotter on that side.

And yes, I had the cylinder 1-4 warning light on a few time back ( i've only run 10 miles since then) trying to fon the problem.
And yes again, I've got low compression on bank 1.

I'm just trying to eliminate any possible muffle/cat issues.

    Thanks

Since you had the slow down lights come on are both banks running? Does the car feel sluggish? The exhaust on my ex 308 was stronger on one side than the other (can't remember which side) If one bank isn't firing start by cleaning the electrical contacts at the coils and both digiplex
