They really need to be seen in person to be appreciated. I remember the first time I saw one and thinking to myself that it was bigger than I had originally thought. Very cool car that sounds great to boot!
Well, if garages count, I saw a yellow 355 spider, a Pantera, Porsche 911 Turbo, couple or few 308's, etc., in a garage a week or so ago. They were all waiting to be worked on.
So I was driving home today talking on the phone to my mom. All of a sudden I told her I had fallen in love and had to go when I saw this beauty parked downtown. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It was on Baronne St. by the Bruno & Bruno law firm. I'm not sure who the owner is. I've just seen the car.
No Fcars today but saw two Bentley Conti GTs...a hardtop this morning on I-12 near Lacombe and then a convertible this evening near Denham Springs. Later, on I-12 close to Hammond, I saw a truck coming the opposite direction with a strange black mass on a trailer...it was a Lambo Countach that appeared to be the victim of an engine fire; very crispy aft of the doors. It looked to be the real deal but hard to tell considering the condition.
Wow, two days in a row now I've seen Ferraris. This totally made my day. I saw it where St. Charles and Carollton meet in uptown New Orleans. Had trouble getting a decent pic because it was raining. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What? Someone actually lets their Ferrari get rained on? My 360 is out getting soaked in the parking lot right now.
Saw this today at the Crowne Plaza downtown (or whatever that hotel is on St. Charles and Poydras.) Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think I saw that one around Tulane's campus a few months back. Nice looking 355 Two nights ago I was walking my gf's dog in Lakeview and saw the orange Gallardo that is around town driving down Robert E. Lee in the rain.
That 355 is actually one of best bud's dad's daily driver. It is usually parked on Morse road in Mandeville behind PJ's at his office. Very sad part of the story, he had a white 308 because his golf clubs wouldn't fit in the 355, and it unfortunately caught fire last year on the causeway. He barely made it to the crossover before it was completely engulfed in flames. Very sad.
Saw this 550 parked by the new Robert's Fresh Market on Robert E. Lee while walking over to Chateau Coffee House for lunch. Had some very sharp looking leather-wrapped carbon fiber sport seats in it. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I see it by pj's and at the new courthouse sometimes. I remember the white one, it was probably the same one I took a pic of once when it was parked in courthouse alley in Cov. I think there was a pic on here somewhere of it after it was burned. I really like the dark red on the 355
Is it common for 308s to spontaneously combust? Seems odd (and scary!) that a car would just burst into flames. Is the owner an attorney? I'm wondering if it's someone I know.
Spotted this morning in Slidell Memorial parking garage. Just a guess but likely belongs to a doctor whose daily driver is (was?) a generation or two old yellow Porsche 911 GT (not sure if 1, 2, or 3). Cellphone pics... Nissan GT-R...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_GT-R One of the best "sports cars" in the world; probably #1 in terms of "bang for the buck". I believe MSRP is in the $70K.
