Yes, to be more clear - video shoot is scheduled for Aug 19th. We dont get to shut down an airport runway on a whim.
It would be interesting to have comparative data... You could possibly secure a totally stock 612 for comparison's sake to be tested on the same day, at the same track, by the same person? It would give more credence to your achievements.
Good lord. I really doubt I need to give more credence as the dyno graph and performance numbers are a staggering improvement (not to mention the parts list). With all do respect I cant see how smoking a stock 612 would be any more helpful. With that said this video will also have a 430 spider and coupe, an Aston Vantage and a Porsche GT3 for comparison sake. I sincerely hope that will do for you.
The guy was asking a question. No reason to come off so hostile towards him....makes you look bad to boot.
Look, I don't want to offend anyone (or turn this thread into something ridiculous like so many do) but lets face it... Has anyone else gone to this extent like we have with a 612? For example hire a pro video team and rent an airport? And to think that after that the gent says "more credence." Its nearly hard to fathom. And then for you to say "come off hostile" after I clearly posted with all due respect and sincerely hope (with only minor sarcasm). I play for keeps, not just post on the Internet. I shoot straight and expect everyone else to do so in return. If you feel that that direction makes one look bad, then so be it. I personally would not change a thing - as it certainly works for me. Now we can talk about this car (to which I would assume we could all benefit from) or you can be offended. Your choice. I choose the car.
I merely stated that having a stock 612 for comparison data would be interesting, thats all. You came off hostile after the first two words of your post: "good lord." Those words set the tone for the rest of your post; "with all due respect" and "sincerely hope" come off sarcastic, therefore adding to the perceived hostility. My original reason for mentioning it was to make your car look better of all things. Its more than possible to have a fine car that underperforms because of a dusty track, an inadequate driver, or a hot day. I mentioned a stock 612 because that would make it clear how superior your car really is. But back to the car. I want to emphasize that I never doubted the superiority of your car. You obviously put a lot of work into this and, judging by the parts and numbers, it shows. How about giving us a tease and posting those dyno charts?!
Well... That was a customer choice. It is his car, and they are fine looking... But we are getting an extra set of 19's (same look) to mount the sticky rubber on. I tell you what though. The 20's are a superb highway feel. And this customer puts the miles on the highway (at top speed mind you). So a good choice for his daily use.
