Damian is awesome! Dropped my car off yesterday for some minor stuff.

 

Damien is something else, I guess..... He even performs automotive sex changes!!!

 

I would love to read a success story older than a day or two.
How about a long term test?

Keep us posted in a few months or even 6 months, when an issue, or the same issues arrise.

Its been close to 5 months now when Damian replaced the leaking rams of my spider. The top is still working great and I frequently use it. In addition the passenger side door lock was not working and he fixed that too. It still is in perfect working order. Cant wait to get oil service done by him this week . One word folks " superb ". Just remember that. Adil.

 

I know several people that have been going to FMS for over a year and I've yet to hear anything but raves.

 

Took my 348 in last week to check the A/C as it was not cooling. Damien, said he would go over the system and check is out, he said it would be 20-30 minute assessment. His wife Kim, asked if I could leave the car, and she would drive me to work, which she did. I did not sign any paperwork, just left the keys, with my sweaty gym in trunk. Had it all day and e-mailed that night, that the system appear to be working fine, and that tomorrow he would "do a full recovery and recharge, and pull vacuum and test for leaks". When Kim called me to tell me my car would ready that afternoon, she asked my if $xxx was ok. My first reaction was, that is way better than it could have been.

He response to e-mail inquiries within the day, or hour, unusally in the late afternoon or evening.

 

Damien is the only place to go. On top of his good work, he is very involved in the community too! A win-win...... Keep up the good work D...when the day comes for my Ferrari, you will be the only person to touch it.

Question, which part exactly was replaced?

 

Nothing was replaced, other than recharging the system.

I had fixed the a/c recirculation flab myself, that plastic pin was broken and I replaced it with brass pin. The system had been converted to r134, and had no charge, so I put in 15oz of freon. It blew cold for 5 minutes, then stopped. At which point, I figured I would have someone look at. Damien, first went through the sytem and found the compressor was not coming on. Then pulled the carpet, and went through the system found no leaks, vacuumed the sytems, and put more freon in, he said it took another 16oz of freon. He charged less than $200. All things considered, I thought I got off cheap. Considering I just purchased this car in May, was not sure the condition of the A/C, as it appear to be working when I drove, but it was hard to tell as I test drove it in Salt Lake. So when I brought it in, I did not know what to expect.

 

So this was not a Major Service correct?

Regardless of what type of service was done, these people were pleased with their experience with Damien, and wanted to share.

 

I think you are either missing the whole point or being a devils advocate. The fact is that various people here are sharing there various experiences about some one who is sincere, competent and does not BS. There were issues with my convertible for which one F dealership gave me a run around and $650 and 2 visits later I realised that I should let Damian look into the matter. This was a one stop shoping for me and everything was taken care of in a timely manner. I am sure there are many members of this community who have had major service done with Damian ( which for you seems to be the yardstick to measure a mechanics competence on F cars). BTW each time I visited Damian some one from the F dealerships was eaither visiting his garage or consulting on issues that they had trouble figuring out. No whooo Hooo here just mentioning a bare fact. Besides his price is right and his work is right. What more can you ask for. Adil.

 

Well said. I personally know of several Fchatters that had issues that were not resolved at a local dealership. FMS addressed and fixed the issues the first time. One of the reasons sites like this exist is to help each other.

 

I actually had the same thoughts. Some people feel better about themselves by trying to drag others down. Can't wait to get my car back from Damian, it's been a couple of weeks since I stretched her legs. (That didn't come out right)

 

Just putting it all in perspective.
