Even though some might dislike the fact that Bugatti is not really italian but is french or german, Ettore is italian, and I didn't know where to put these.

    Seen today in Paris:

French, Italian, Chinese whatever! This car is outstanding. I've seen it at Pebble Beach and have it on the wall above my desk (along with the other 5 Royales).

A trip to Mulhouse can cause cardiac problems for those that appreciate the name Bugatti.

Seeing it actually driving on the streets is probably much more than I would do with THAT car.

    Good lord.

All Hagerty reps were watching this like it was the defusing of an H-Bomb...

    :)

I'm no expert, either, but I believe there is a replica in Germany at the Sinsheim Auto + Technik Museum. I took pictures of it around 10 years ago. It had a fleur de lis upholstery pattern. It would be interesting to learn the locations of the clone or clones.

Thank you for the photos. I'm jealous that you got to see such a magnificent car on the road.

It was a really awkward feeling. I knew where it was supposed to be, and the time and all, but nevertheless, when I just appeared before my eyes, it was just unbelievable! I own a very small car, and the Bugatti is just huge! I felt as if I had been shrinked 75% compared to the proportions of the car!

Is this the Bugatti that Hans Thulin in Sweden owned?

No, this one had only two owners... Ettore Bugatti himself and Fritz Schlumpf. Still in the Schlumpf collection in the Museum in Mulhouse/France.

There are 3 Royale in the Schlumpf collection. The Napoleon, the Park-Ward and here is the Esders. But this one is a replica made with some original Royale parts.

Thanks for posting those pictures. It's really great to see this car one the average city's streets ! I think it's better to promote such an amazing cars in this way , rather than shutting them away in the museums .

    Hi Brian,:)

The car used at Prins Joachim's wedding was indeed a replica borrowed from Tom Weatcroft of the Donnington collection! :)
You will recognise that car on the wrong door handles, the windscreen and several other minor things, including the interior in the coupé! The car was hand built for Mr. Weatcroft for a huge amount of money some years ago!

    All my best

    Hi, :)

No, this car is not the car owned some years ago by Hans Thulin! The "Kellner Royale" was owned by Thulin for arround two years and then it was sold to a Japanese billionaire! I believe the car is still in Japan!

    All my best
