This MIGHT be a stupid question, but I've been dying to know; what does the "F" stand for in F430??? Thanks, -G.B.
I don't think it stands for anything, maybe Ferrari just wanted to go back to using the 'F' in the model name (F40, F50, F355, etc.) Didn't seem to last long since they dropped the 'F' for the Scuderia
The F is for Fiorano....They used the Fiorano test track to test the F430.The track is close to the Ferrari factory.
I am going to venture a guess, but they seem to put the "F" in front of the number when the car doesn't have a "real" name. F40, F50, F355 etc were just F and then numbers. Where as the cars without the F have a name, like 430 Scuderia, 360 Modena, 550 Maranello. Calling it the Ferrari 430 seems a bit plain. It sounds alot better with the F. Again, just a guess.
