Nobody is asking for sympathy, I am well aware of the rapid depreciation, dealer system, etc.- simply stating the facts, amigo.
hey I sense some hostility in that tone! I recently lost an extra 33k when I traded my lotus in for the ferrari. a day after I traded it in I was offered 33k more than I traded it in for by a private party.. sucks but se la vie ...
Did that sound hostile? Maybe I should have left out the "amigo" at the end!!!! I agree with you........."that's is life". Funny, I had one guy who was really interested in the car, then decided he wanted an F-1 instead. The guy who bought my car at the dealer drove an F-1 there on display and bought my old car because he preferred a 6sp vs. the F-1. Life does work in mysterious ways.
High miles, I don't think so, average miles - yes Full dealer service history - yes Fully load spec - yes Decent aftermarket exhaust - yes A few discreet add-ons - yes Well looked after by a passionate owner - oh yeah! I think its a great car at a great price, the add-ons are not over the top, most people would be very pleased to have these thrown in. The only issue I can see for some prospects would be the non-original wheels, but this shouldn't be an issue, you can obtain original wheels pretty easily Good luck with the sale, and congrats on the new house and 430.
WOW ! that paint glissens ! your car looks immaculate and that creme interior (or maybe it's tan) looks sweet
Awesome car...awesome price!! I remember it from Vegas Tasteful mods, great service and owner I prefer 6spd manual or I would be all over it Good luck with the sale ps- anyone looking for a '96 F355 Spider...maybe I can get used to the F1
Seen this car in person. A thing of beauty. Tim did a really good job taking care of this car. And what a price! It's a steal.
Great looking car. Not high miles, but I'd call it above average miles. Lots of mods, not to everyone's taste, BUT, if you're looking for this type of car with subtle changes, $129K is really good deal. I suspect the mods knock 50%+ of the buyers out, but still, if I was spider shopping, you'd be gettin' a call from me. Unfortunately, I'm more of a Modena fan, and bought my car 6 months ago. C'mon guys, this sure looks like a great car! DM
Looks like the only way to resolve this is for me to send all of my interior aluminum pieces in exchange for your carbon pieces. Personally I think your car is very tastefully done. Someone is going to be very happy with it! Good luck with the sale.
Thanks! Your the third person that has offered to swap their aluminum for my carbon. The car can be easily brought back to stock, with funding provided by the sale of the after market parts. Tim
I've had the pleasure of seeing this car since Tim made the purchase. This car is pristine. Tim doesn't skimp on anything and this car has had every service. If anyone here is actually serious about buying a 360 Spider, this is the car. I also can't say enough good things about Tim. He's a straight shooter and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this car from him. Somebody's going to get a steal!
Somebody buy the Frikken car already !!! Like Modenafan said....It truly is a genuine CA car with NO STORIES. I have no more room in the garage otherwise I might bite. Tim is no skimper...1st Class all the way !! Cheers
Its amazing that F community considers 17K a high mileage car. I believe that is relevant for older Ferraris due to service expense. But the late F cars are meant to be driven and more you drive the car and maintain it right the more reliable is the engine and parts. What are you achieving by buying a car , paying a handsome price and watching it rot in your garage. This car is well driven and not over driven and the value of this car and reliability factor should be more than say a same vintage 6k 360. Wait till you really drive those garage queens and realize another 10-15 K hidden expense when the rubber hits the road. Besides all the majors are done and you are set for another 4 yrs . This is a car well worth its price. Tim good luck, you are going to find a great home for this beauty soon. Adil.
Tim the economy is against a private sale at your price, unfortunately. You have one of two choices: either lower your price 10-15% or let a dealer sell it for 25% less. That is the reality today. I am not saying it isn't worth every bit of 130K but a private sale? Good luck anyway.
this car is awesome. just purchased a modena, but if i were looking for a spider, would have made the purchase. good luck, Tim.
The economy has slowed, but not everyone has fallen off a financial cliff. I assure you, there are still plenty of qualified Ferrari buyers. Also, as per my earlier post, I have a current wholesale cash offer of $125,000. This is a fair amount different than the 25% discount that you reference. Should the car not sell shortly, I'll take the $125,000. Thanks, Tim
Tim, I meant 25% commission to the dealer. The dealer will sell for 150-160K for sure. But if you could get 125K now I think that is all the money. Good luck.
I think there are plenty of cash buyers out there. But I think all the "nay sayers" are making us prospects a little gun shy. Not that you need me to tell you, but your car will sell as priced I suspect. I am waiting for a piece of property to sell before I buy a car, but I'm sure there are others a little further ahead of the curve than I...
