I'd rater own any ferrari other than a Corvette, I could've bought one a friend owns one,I've nver driven it ,but it is FAST AS HELL ,but its a Corvette. Its an also ran, everyone has one ,cookie cutter , run of the mill. The concept of a car with a big engine that goes fast is old news, to me personally, its the engineering of the car with the smaller engine that is fast that enamors me.When GM can make a naturally aspirated 4.3 liter engine with almost 500hp, I'll listen.

I have owned both. A corvette is every boys dream to own. A Ferrari is every mans dream to own.

I have both and I love both. You can't make me choose!

Seriously, when I get out of the Ferrari and into the Corvette I think "Wow, this is a great car!" Then, when I get out of the Corvette and into the Ferrari, I think the exact same thing.

Now THAT says it all......Fantastic post

By the way, we saw a ZO6 on the interstate yesterday. We were running about 100 in the Cayenne and the ZO6 was cruising past...

Believe it or not that huge billboard back bumper (plastic) was flexing (in and out) all over the place...I love the looks of the car but that made me disgusted....

ZO6 is fast and affordable. It is fantastic considering the mission but at the end of the day you get what you pay for!!!!!

When comparing a Ferrari to a Vette you need to consider the critically important panties removal time performance statistic. No matter how much horsepower, no Vette can even come close.

How did I miss this thread? :)

FYI from pure SCCA T1 road racing the C5 Z06 eats the 355 Challenge by seconds a lap, the C5 Z06 is actually a tad faster than the 360 Challenge, but the 360 has a 65 mm restrictor.

    :D Game - Set - Match

However! I just saw one at Costco last night and actually took a picture of it! I never would have 15 years ago. It has aged well although I'm in the 355 camp.

I have always considered the C5 Z06 to be a sister car to the F355. Maybe sister isn't the best descriptor but I think they go hand in hand. The C5 Z06 is more raw than the C6. The C6 is better built, like a 360.

I do on most levels, from a racing perspective the C5 Z06 was a faster car. In SCCA it was a solid Touring 1 Championship car, the 355 Challenge was more a Touring 2 Championship car. Reminder the Z06 is 10 years younger.

Considering that it looked ugly when C5 came out, it has indeed aged well--it is not uglier than when it came out.

SSNISTR hasn’t been on in 5 years although 8k posts. For livnxs to come back after 15 years with only 150 posts might be the most epic FChat OWN ever.
