Expected heroics from Fred. Its Spain after all. But Reubens is last. Which contrasts strangely with Button's pace.
Fisi tenth is noteable too.

Alonso was asking for a minutes silence before practice.

 

Yep - They had a "minute of silence" - It was (briefly) featured in the SpeedTV coverage.

 

The mechanics on Buttons car finally found out that the engine was a 8 not a 6 so they plugged in the other two plugs.

 

Anyone following sat practice, or is the US tucked up in bed atm?

Yes, Steve, he's just read here that Alonso might be his team mate next year and felt he better be right up there with him.

 

Storm last night washed the track clean again.
That makes the drop into 38 secs more impressive.
Watching it seemed the top guys were avoiding stringing a complete lap together. Both F and Mc drivers showed a series of fast sector times combined with one slow sector.
Keeping the cards close until quals.
Trulli had a transmission issue.

 

I wonder if we will see 37' in qualifying???
