As tasteless as these kit cars are to me, I really give the guys credit that build some of them. In this case it looks as good as it can be and someone really put there heart into it....

I really think in this case this guy deserves some respect, what a project!!!!

I often wonder though why they just don't buy one. I'm willing to bet it would cost less for a real 355 :)

Why bother?! A total waste of time considering the time and money...just buy a 355. I do have respect for projects like this but do a p3/4 and use a Ferrari engine.... i am a designer and this type of stuff make me ill.

How about making something totally unique, an expression of your own creativity. I would love to see a bunch of one-off car bodies instead of replicas.

The door and hood gaps are pretty bad...but impressive that he built it to a running condition....so many languish "half done".

That's quite the project! But why? I never quite got he replica thing. Every time I have run into one of these guys when I have been in one of my cars, they act embarrassed and run away. So, where are they trying to fit in? Are they just posing in a pseudo Ferrari? That is worse that the Ferrari owner/posers.

He's got to have more than the $30K asking price in it. It was a very good copy.

Nor have I. However, the Ferrari camp also has its replicas enthusiasts. The 308/328 owners that buy 288 GTO body panels. The 250 GTO and P3/P4 replicas, etc..built with Ferrari chassis and engines. I have always wanted a 288 GTO and, for a time in the early-2000s, I thought it would be possible. However, the prices have sky-rocketed lately, with current values of $650-800K (FORZA, Issue No.86, page 84). You do have to give this individual credit though for the amount of time, money and creativity it took to actually get this F355 replica in running form.
