My favorite is either the P-51 or P-38. From what i've read the P-38 is a lot easier to fly with it's twin engines. I cant even imagine how much the P-51 wants to torque to the left. It's a shame more of them werent preserved after the war. Im also a big fan of the Corsair which i've also read is more than a handful to fly compared to other planes of the era. One of these days I need to get to an airshow to see some of these planes fly. I havent been to one since I was a little kid. I still remember the sounds they made.
I also think the Hurricane and Spitfire are some nice looking planes. I really dont know much about those planes though.

Probably P-51, although in my old "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" flight sim I liked the ME-262.

I would go with either the P51 or the IL-2

For me, it would definitely have to be the de Havilland Mosquito. But I also have warm spots for the P-51 Mustang, B-26 Marauder, F8F Bearcat, as well as the Spitfire, the B-36, the Yak-3 and the Boeing P-12/F4B.

If you like the B-36 you should check out the SAC musem out by Omaha. They have a B-36 there puts almost all of the other bombers to shame size wize LOL. I think there is also a pretty interesting book on the B-36 as well.

That said Fav. Prop bomber would have to be the B-36 or the B-17

Fighter would be a tougher call. I would have to say either the P-38 or the P-51. Both are really nice planes that I would love to fly if I ever have the chance.

That would be my favorite since that's what my grandfather flew.

I have always been impressed with the TU-95 Bear. I believe the largest successful turbo-prop aircraft developed. Very good range with speeds approaching turbo-jet performance from what I have read.

Oddly, it makes me think of what a B-29 could have evolved into if the jet engine hadn't have been developed when it was.
