I can't wait to hear this one. The first thing I noticed was in the wing position outside the cockpit being down and well forward with the Vought style brake master cylinders on the pedals. There are so many variations on the F4F I'll give an off the cuff - "looks like a corsair", but then I'm drunk.
Not the Martin. Here are additional hints, All empanage was electronically controlled. The aircraft utilized principles of "compression lift." Take a close look at the "horn button" on the control yoke. I guess in all fairness I should say that this plane never entered regular production but was "very high" profile. Hey now.... we're talkin about aircraft cockpits here.... Not the gas chamber at San Quentin... See all those straps? And the gauges are for proper cyanide / acid mixtures.... and that well... not so big airtight door....... Oh wait!! it's the Gemini capsule..... Never mind.......
How about this for a view of a real UFO.....?? http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/features/aliens/61248 Warning: Slow loading site Skyraider
X-wing fighter, circa 1978, used by the rebel forces during invasion of the planet Tatooine by the Empire. This one appears to be an 'A' model but carries the 'B' model weapons pack configuration. Obviously this one was modified in the field due to lack of parts. Still considered one of the favorites by pilots for it's acceleration and manueverability. Unfortunately it's range was dismal and eventually replaced by the heavier and less maneuverable 'C' models...................sort of like the F-18 Super Hornet..
THAT was good for a laugh! Too funny! Excerpt from the link; "It is made of an unknown metal alloy many times stronger than titanium," according to classified notes leaked to Dr. Wilton. Initial findings indicate they drowned. "The cockpit window had been breached and a preliminary autopsy found they had water in their lungs," says Dr. Wilton. "Luckily, the human abductee was in a watertight laboratory or she, too, would have drowned. "The girl was frightened and woozy. She kept moaning, 'Keep your filthy little gray hands off me.'" A data base on missing people kept by a UFO group identified her. "She turned out to be a Montana schoolteacher who vanished on her way to a Halloween party," says Dr. Wilton. "Her clothes, including the Martha Stewart mask she was wearing at the time, were found neatly folded in a cubbyhole."
Okay, back to earth. Here is a new one, Hint, It's one of the fastest transports on the planet. Image Unavailable, Please Login

GAS. That is, natural gas. Uaknow, flatulance. They pack the poor pilote up with plenty beans and onions and sausage and stuff the night b4 the expected flight. The next a.m. the converter tube is inserted into said pilote. It is equiped with a simple burp switch much like the burp switch on the WW1 fighters. The released gas is introduced into the tunnel and a simple candle starts the combustion process. And therein lies the crux. Gas output, burp switch and candle must remain in constant sync or pilote is upadecreek.
