Sortta looks like we have a 'ramblin on' thread here. Like the 'a TR at last' one on fchat. More fun this way. I see in the recent issue of the NW newsletter some guy with a BIG smile squeezing into a black(?) TR. Fun eh DJ? You need one of those someday.

It was red and I had a blast giving rides in it. It had a Capristo level II exhaust. Boy did it sound great.

I also did duty in a black Porshe GT2. Twin turbo all wheel drive. Left the TR in the dust. UNREAL!

I need a TR NOW but the money goes to other things like the Kraut Kar and finishing off the garage. I still need to get the 308 running good again too.

It's the airline pilot's curse. He's charged with the safety of his aircraft, crew, and passengers, while everyone and everything else, it seems, is more concerned with "getting there" and "getting there on time." Deadline pressures shave away at the margin of safety on which all rely until, well...

And then it was the pilot's fault.

    It's a shame, really.

On a completely unrelated topic -- ferrying people around in a TR and a GT2 -- wow, DJ, that's some gig you landed! Your avatar pic isn't Yoda, but Teach me, Master!

Like to get a Capristo on my TR, but ther are pricey at 3,400.00. Think thats what Nick quoted. Next year perhaps.

    3,400 is Tubi territory.

I believe you can get a better price elsewhere. Traditionally the Capristos' are less expensive than Tubi.

Exactly! It's all about schedule and and the money. I am sure they catch hell when they divert on the side of caution.

It was part of the food and toy drive organized by the owner of the TR and GT2. He was too busy taking pictures and felt sorry for me because my 308 is sick. I didn't complain believe me.

Most definitely, for all practical purposes, I'm too big for the 308 and I fit in a TR.

Good deeds that did not go unrewarded! Terrific!

Strangely the last good deed I did (mowing my parent's lawn) landed me in the hospital.

... I guess some of us have more bad karma to work off than others

When I wanted a Tubi, waited, found someone who didn't like the noise, paid 1500 for the used Tubi, another 200 to install it. Guy'd only used it for about 1 month. Not a bad buy. Used the Ferrarichat want ads to find it. Might want to think about that for the TR.

Boy Art, I have been hitting the fchat adds, E-bay and other Ferrari Club newsletters for the past 6 months, Absolutely nothing. Carguy had a cleaned up Borla headder back unit for 1800.00. Thought that a bit high for what it was and only read O2 on 3 cyls from each bank. Id much prefer O2 from 6 on each side. Still would have tried it if price would have been lower. If you hear of anything out there please let me know. Thanks, steve
