Ok I'm training in Boston, and I will receive my student ticket there in Boston.

If I have access to a plane in Houston (same type) would I be able to fly it on my student ticket. Or do I need to be at lease in the same time zone as my instructor.

Would it make a difference if it was my plane in Houston.

    Thanks
    Rudy

You get your Student Pilot Certificate when you get your medical. It is a Student Pilot Certificate/Medical. Assuming your instructor signs you off for solo in Boston you can only operate within 25nm of your primary airport and must land at the originating airport unless you have a cross country endorsement?

You would need to get another solo endorsement when you are in Houston from a qualified CFI and you can only operate 25 miles away from there and have to land at the originating airport unless you have an endorsement for cross country flight.

FAR part 61.87, 61.89 and 61.93 are required reading for people at your level of experience.
