I am not in possession of my manual as my mechanic forgot to put back in the car. I am attempting to jump. I have the left panel removed and trying to identify specifically where to hook positive cable. I have identified the "positive" #43 location but there are 3 screw/bolts from which I can clamp. Can anyone tell me which one and where is the best place to ground. There is a large bolt just aft that appears could be a negative post but not entirely sure. Any help much appreciated.
Should all be on the right side (passenger). As you described. Negative post is forward of the positive connections. I just checked the Owner's Manual to confirm. As you probably already know, best to not make a habit of this, and it is preferable to charge the battery instead. Jump starting repeatedly with a low battery can strain the alternator. One is probably fine.
BTW - on any 12V starter battery I've ever seen in the US, the + battery post is always larger in diameter than the - post. May be hard to see depending on where the battery is, though.
