I've got a euro 308 GT4 from '79 and it has the single distributor with OE electronic ignition like some late GTBs have. Does anyone know what the spacing should be between the two magnetic pick-ups and the distributor cam lobes ? The GT4 manual only gives info on points ignition cars.

    Thanks.

    Hi Giles,
We have an original 1979 Marelli specification sheet for the SM 805 A pickup sensor distributor that indicates the air gap should be 0.35mm - 0.45mm or 0.014 - 0.017 inches. This is very tight and they will usually work fine with a larger gap. Please be cautious because when things get worn or loose the shaft, plate, or sensors can move a little and allow the sensor to make contact with the teeth.
