Massa had 2 days in the seat over testing the real car, Kimi 1 day for the last test. Thats also a huge difference. Kimi, if he is so serious about improving, needs more REAL seat time. Massa is getting that plus sim time. Massa is much stronger than the stats show. He is clearly kicking Kimi in qualy. Thats almost everything for the race. His blow up in Budapest belies the pace he is showing and that was a huge victory no matter the engine.

He put LH and Kimi aside that weekend in Hungary. That is a huge mental boost plus the 3 weeks off and he comes back and thrashes the field including LH by an even larger margin than he was carrying in Hungary at Valencia. LH is on guard and unless Kimi figures out what his problems are related to the car, and finds real solutions he is being left behind slowly and surely.

This weekend at Spa; McLaren will be able to add an additional 10 mph to their top speed in the straights due to a new high tech piece of aerodynamic gadgetry which lowers the wind drag on the car.

    Lewis Hamiltons Recent Statement:

"The tracks with long straights they have a slight advantage than we generally do, but I think it will balance out," Hamilton told reporters at the Spa-Francorchamps circuits on Thursday.

"Here they will be strong like they were last year. We have made a step forward with our car and we should be able to challenge them. Last year we weren't in a position to do so.

"I think in Monza they will probably be a lot quicker than they were last year, but I still feel we will have the upper hand.

"For Singapore, they will be very quick like they were in Valencia, so maybe they will have the upper hand there. We will wait and see, while in Fuji and Shanghai, we were very strong there.

"I honestly feel we've the better package for the remaining races. They are going to be able to challenge us, but I feel we have the upper hand,"

    Ron Dennis explains further:

"Recently with Lewis making all of his cocky statements we noticed the size of his mouth, and his already large head, growing in exponential fashion causing a severe drag on the aerodynamics of the car. Due to this we have had our engineering department design a special gadget which fits within his helmet to contain his mouth and noggin thus allowing the car to have an increase of 10 mph over the current McLaren top speed."

Max Mosley Responds: "Can I borrow that for my after work activities?"

Felipe has been doing the work where it counts.....Qualifying. He was in a position to win at France by qualifying high enough to move up when Kimi had problems. He is on the front row more than Kimi. We all know what that means in F1. Others here mentioned simulator time, add to that MORE seat time in testing. Felipe's work has been paying off. He is making the car work better for him. I hate it as Kimi is my fave driver but the stats and results are there.

Hungary no matter the engine showed his determination as well. The Hungary race was a huge turning point, minus the points. It was still a motivational victory. When your moves are called "Hamiltonesque" and you take the lead from 3rd on lap1 at the start and then follow up a 3 week break with an even more dominating victory at Valencia- well thats what pay off is all about for the effort. No matter where Felipe ends up in the title race he has shown without a doubt this year, he is in fact a racer to be respected.

Because Mark Twain was right and Lewis got clipped because of his stupidity... Looks like his run of luck ran out today, you can't cheat forever and get away with it! That trophy looks might nice in Felipe's hands now doesn't it..

Here's a reminder to Lewis on how Massa's luck ran out...

I don't think he did...re-read the sentence. Replace "you" with "one".

What about when you say you're right but in the end you're not? Such as on topics like... oh, I dunno.... Kers, hardness of steels used in watchmaking, country of origin for domestic car manufacturers, etc, etc?

    A) He didn't

    B) Come on Ron - you've sorta been the king of insulting the person posting, haven't you? How many times have we heard that we're peons who don't understand F1, etc, etc?

Steve is a good guy - not sure where you two got off on the wrong foot, but he's one of the good ones Ron.

He directly disobeyed team orders regarding when to pit during quali during the infamous event with Alonso, that kind of sense of entitlement coupled with dozens of arrogant, smug comments make it very diffiicult to like Hamilton. I wouldn't even cheer for him if he drove for Ferrari.

    "you look stupid"

Yes, he did insult the person making that post! He did not discuss the subject, he only insulted the person making the post. Do not be blind Michael.

The "wrong foot" is that I do not appreaciate being personally criticized because I do not see Lewis Hamilton in the same Jesus light as my British counterparts. I just believe it is way too early to make a judgement.

I have no doubt that I have crossed the line a few times, but I am trying not to repeat the same error. That does not make it OK for anyone else to do this. No Mike, at this point, kraftwork is the king of ridiculous answers. He never answers the post, he just comes up with some completely irrelevent and totally stupid tripe that insults the person making the post. Not you or anyone else will change that. Read his posts! The PM's I get prove me correct. I am really tired of assumptions and my words being twisted.

No, he is not one of the good ones, the total opposite is the fact. Honestly Mike, you are way off on his one, he is no different than the posters that you criticize. I do not want anything to do with him. Not today, not tomorrow.

I have to disagree with you on this Ron. Steve was using "you" as a generalization, not as an insult. I expect better reasoning from a fellow decendant of Plato and Socrates ;)

I do not know this for fact. Possibly you are correct. But the track record would dictate an opposite story. I take the use of the pronoun "you" exactly as it is intended. If not, then a sentence shoud be contructed differently so as to not allow for confusion.

I also defend Raikkonen. And anyone else that is unfairly judged. That includes Hamilton. I quantify any statement I make about Hamilton, and I really try not to SPECIFICALLY address anyone personally. And its not a battle.

Just do not mention the person making the post, address the subject. That is all I am saying. I do not care how frustrated we can get. Only address the subject.

When emotions become involved, that becomes difficult. I am guilty!! But that should not deter anyone from following that simple suggestion, do not address the person making the post, only address the subject of the post. Nor should that be a reason to twist another's words or make assumptions that are not accurate.

If you really want a good discussion, give specific reasons why you do not agree with another's post without addressing thee person making the post. Like calling them stupid.

Reality will be in reading subsequent posts. Judge for yourself.

Realistically speaking, some of the posts deserve the aggravated responses they get (in this case, I think Steve just used the wrong pronoun to state his point). There has been some cr@p written about both Massa and Hamilton that defies all logic, and I can understand the frustrating responses. I don't see either of you guys as flamers and usually the snippiness is justified.

I also know that both of you try to hold it back, but it becomes difficult. Some of these forums are just tough because not allo f the posts and responses are insightful and objective. Many are pretty reasonably stated though.

    Oh, just **** off Ron!

    :D

    ;)

I still say Steve is a good guy and any differences you two have must be based more on idealogical or driver-support differences because he's the furthest thing from a troll (of which IMO there are several on the forum). Steve has always been one of the last guys to lash out, even when confronted with overwhelming idiocy... he's good people. Hope you two can reconcile things.

    In response to your crying:

Ok my last post to you, I AGREED take a look,:

    See post 446... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?p=138009398#post138009398

Then, contrary to what YOU!! posted "I will not respond to your posts", you have to stick your nose in, a post which had absolutely nothing to do with you!!, So yet again, true to form your word's are totally worthless.

I said I post what deem fit.

I don't twist your words, I just don't take a total pig-headed unwillingness to look at the facts in the face.

You stated you wouldn't respond to my posts, but you can't help yourself, you have to stick your nose in as normal., the only reason you don't want me on here, is because I call you out, and you can't stand that, because it makes you look a fool, that's it period.
If you want to continue this it's fine by me, I have the same discussions with a lot of folk on here but it appears there is only you that has a grudge, you accused me of being like Franco, you said I make you sick, you have admitted baiting people, you are a hypocrite of the highest order.

Well you can have your play ground to yourself for a while, and wallow in Massa's hollow victory, I didn't think Massa needed the FIA help...but I'm wrong, so as you clearly have Max on your side, you can resort to, spouting off at someone else that dare question your blinkered view, as Fortune once again vomits on my keyboard.

I will be back to surprise you!!! but you can stick your dummy back in for now.

    it's what I do best ;)

I'm surprised the McCheaters are still in F1

any 'normal' industry would have had them thrown out and facing jail for industrial espionage but here we see McLunken using Ferrari technology (braking system), then making BS statements about not advancing the car next year (yeah right Lucifer, like as if any of us believed that !!) and still allowed to race

Lest we forget who the people were at the centre of the controversy from last year, who is in charge of the FIA, who makes a lot of the rulings (Charlie), and who sucks up to the Germans when they can't make their own engines ...... oh yes, the garagisti are very respectable people

Ferrari's biggest mistake in the 21 years in the wilderness was hiring Barnard, he set us back years and sucked all the money to G.T.O. , all was set right when Rory Byrne from SA fixed the chassis

Ross Brawn (the ONE shining light), JT, Byrne and LdM + MS were the reasons behind Ferrari's resurgence

now, what was that about wind ups ?? :)
