Damn Cody, sorry to hear this man. You're right though, she's not worth it. If she can't even attempt to take an interest (or even fake it) in something you're passionate about she's not someone you can grow to love. Best of luck. Hopefully I'll get to finally make it out to another Cars and Coffee next month. Especially since my birthday is 2 days following. Sounds like yall did have a great time this past one.
If a girl doesnt like your relationship with car or your dog then get rid of her...You have no idea how hard it is to train a new dog
Number Two??? This proves only one thing...obviously you only have ONE Ferrari. Otherwise she could be 3 or 4 or what have you.
I'll bet that one of the first questions you ask the next prospective girl friend is 1. do you like cars 2. Do you watch formula 1 I must say that there are a number of wives/girlfriends in the F Club that do not share the ferrari passion however I am sure that when push comes to shove they would rather arrive at a restaurant in the Ferrari than in a pick up truck. We all have a passion for something the important thing is to respect your partners passion and enjoy it with them even though you are not that enthralled with it. This way you can both keep your individuality and an interest that helps keep the spark alive. Here endeth the lesson.
Yeah, for the most part women in general are not passionate about cars ... for them its a thing that gets them from point A to B. Its not 100% important (in my opinion) to have a girl that is in love with your hobby or a Ferrari, but I do agree that she must understand that other things are also important to you ... even though they might not be important to her. Its simple, at leats on paper. I don't care if my wife buys 3 pairs of shoes on saturday and she won't care if I spend $$ on a F-car "things" ... you got to give the other person some room ... my 2 cents, now I'm down to the garage to cover the Ferrari .... ha ah ha
That's TERRIBLE Karen, even more so, if true...... May I send a resume??? I rode with C. the other morning, and first heard this story.....after my recent heartcahe I think he made the right decision, losing them after YEARS of investment....that's WORSE....Although thinking of it, she had poor night vision, so I always ended up with the 10PM - 6AM driving shift.....LOL!
I had the opposite situation, offering to liquidate all my Ferraris to start over in the partnership....... lost the girl but kept the cars.... Break up, either way..
When you're horny, the girl is always #1. When you're not horny, the girl is always #2 (or lower, depending on how many Ferrari's you have as others have pointed out). Juggle those two accordingly...
Kerrari, ...tis everything in this world is RELATIVE, and seems like you had the sense to make the right decision. w/ smiles Jimmy
I always say who needs a man if you have a Ferrari. 99.999 percent of Ferraris are hot. .0000000009 percent of men are hot. Guess I shouldn't say that on a board full of guys, but just reverse it and consider yourself lucky you have an F-car. You can get another girlfriend.
Welcome to the site....... Do you know Kerrari??? The part he didn't share, that he told me, was "her friends convinced her that a "car guy" will always........" which sounded VERY similar to what I recently experienced, my ex-fiancee's "circle of friends" all convinced her our relationship was "stifling...unhealthy....controlling..." whatever....WHO exactly are these "friends"???? Yep, a bunch of unattractive spinsters, that were drinking alone at home, in the first place......LOL! They DID successfully convince her to join them though........crazy stuff........they continue to exploit her to this day.......
Have just been in contact with Kerrari - nice to meet a fellow female petrolhead. My first reaction to your post was amazement at how the stereotypical image of 'car guys' could be derived. Its a bit like generalising all guys with blue eyes. I then pondered some of the earlier posts and how many degrading comments have been made about women It is very sad when people do not think for themselves and are swayed by friends opinions. A lot of the time it is just jealousy why should she have a boyfriend when we are alone drinking with the girls every Saturday night??!!
You should have let her drive it just once, she might be a little more understanding.... .... anyways girls like that have control and power issues, they do not like it if they can not rule you.
Haha, that's rich. Keep in mind the same applies to (some) men in a woman's case. Thankfully I found someone that is as equally into the cars (which I/we race) as I am. It can be done, you know.
Back from Storm Duty... Good you met her then....she's been here a while. Well, mine told me she had thought about and recently decided that accepting her abusive ex husband's recent marriage proposal (!!!???!!) then she pointed out a man she had an affair with, while married, was passed out drunk inside her house and she was going to join him.. *empty huge bottle of vodka of the floor* I turned and walked back into the Hurricane, shaking my head sadly......then her power blew out.....
