I just hit 20K this weekend on my 06' 430...........The thrill of driving this car never gets old.
And it didn't melt??!! Pretty sad my '99 360 only has 18k miles! Must do more driving!! No sense in saving it for the next guy! Robert
Congrats on the milestone. It's very easy to understand how you did it. It's amazing how so many owners can stay out of these cars, driving them gives you an almost natural high. After having "regular" sports cars for so long, certain characteristics of the Ferrari are just super special. For example, the motor's sportbike-like response/bark when blipping the throttle for downshifts always puts a smile on my face, and almost has me laughing out loud (I do giggle, sometimes). The sound/pull when you get on it is pure car-guy heaven. And, the car drives nicely while just cruising, too. It's not like you're looking to get out after 20 minutes behind the wheel. The 430 is the sports car I would build myself if I had the ability to do so. A Ferrari is magic, and that's all there is to say about it. It may sound a bit overboard, but it's true.
Pretty dang impressive. One of the guys here in the Bay Area just hit 30K on his F430. Me... I've got an embarrassingly low 1500 miles on my '07 F430. Of course my 6 mile round trip commute doesn't help. I'm thinking about moving further away from work so I can drive the car more Frank
very impressed Ape. i think you'll need to keep driving this one so that, one day, you can be the guy with 1,000,000 miles flipping ont he odometer. Ferrari will celebrate by giving you a Ferrari of your choice and everyone will circle you in applause.....wait, this is a dream...sorry. good luck!
Thats cool....Ferrari is supposed to be in motion, not just sleep well on the garage floor. More happy miles to come, right?
