come around and you can take the blue one for a lap around the block...

You are SO wrong it's not funny...

An Aus 308QV and even a 328 is a gutless slug in comparison to a 2V Euro car with sports silencer...

just come and drive the blue one... or I'll take you round the block, whichever you prefer...

    wrong wrong wrong...........

I have driven all the various Australian 308's and that is what the comment is based on. The Euro version isn't really comparing apples with apples is it?

i MIGHT be wrong (but i doubt it) but i can remember when the GTSi came out it was considered a joke. It sounded terrible and had about 215hp...so down about 40hp and up in weight.

it was not a very popular car.

all was forgiven with the QV though.

I guess comparing a Euro 2Vi with sports exhaust isn't apples/apples... but I still haven't driven, or even seen an AUS 2Vi for comparison...

I do know without doubt, that the blue Euro one Graheme Fletcher is selling is NOT gutless at all.... and would easily out drag an Aus QV and probably an Aus 328, up to, and well beyond the legal limit.

Anyone seriously interested can contact me or him directly.

I've driven dozens of examples of almost every model, and of course you get good ones and bad ones, and ones with problems, and modified ones, so driving ONE car once, might not give a good statistical test.

hey, maybe this blue one even has Hi comp pistons fitted... I haven't checked (but I could, I guess), but it drives that well it might have. There are cars that have been hi comped before without records....

I'll be over next week, might give it a try.
OTOH, I really don't need to bother, do I? ;)

You can buy me lunch - the sauce I prefer on my pie is Coulis aux tomates jaunes - can you arrange that?

few months ago i used to listen to pommy radio, i just got sooooo sick of their dam HP sauce ads, my god they want you to wership the stuff.

fwiw the marketing werked on me, i bought a bottle of it, thought it tasted like bbq sauce with worsesctershshirrsechire sauce added and that was it, i give it 6/10, and also don't listen anymore (also somewhat to do with some stupid football song they'd play 6 times per hour - this was about werld cup season). soooo, they earned some money from their marketing, but their radio station lost a customer. :p

strange... I don't think I've ever seen (or heard) an ad for the stuff... absolutely love it though....

Quick lunch favourite of mine that I can prepare cook and eat in about 4 minutes flat (not pretty sight).... multi grain toast, scrambled eggs with extra mature grated cheddar, cracked pepper and lashings of HP suace...

    YEAH BABY....
