Just picked up my first F car last week and was giving it a thorough (maybe too thorough) cleaning and discovered some seat wear that had been covered up by the previous owner or dealer. I simply wiped the seat with some leather cleaner (Zaino) and what was tan turned to worn grey/black. Does any one know a good leather repair shop in the eastern part of the state? I am in Goldsboro so the triangle area is not too far away.

I don't but my advice would be to give the folks at Sport Auto a call (http://www.sportauto.us/). They should be able to refer you to whomever they use for such repairs.

They are in Greensboro, I was hoping to find some one closer. Also, the car came from FCI, their competitor.

I believe there is a good place in downtown Raleigh called Auto Interiors & Tops. I was there once with a friend who needed some material for his 911.

Another option is here but I know nothing about them:

Perhaps someone who has experience with either of them will chime in. Make sure we get to see the results at one of the Brier Creek meets! :)

I have used Auto Interiors in Raleigh multiple times, for my Ferraris as well as other cars. They do a terrific job. I have had them replace the rear plastic window on two Ferraris, install air bladders in my 360 sport seats (check the archives for pics), and recarpet my old Mondial T. They do not do leather redies but subcontract that to Braxton's in Cary. I would start with Auto Interiors to get their opinion on the best course of action.

Thanks for the info. I have contacted Leather and Vinyl MD. They seemed very familiar with the Daytona seats and asked me to email photos of the damaged areas (an encouraging sign). They will come to me to do the repair.
