    I have always seen the resemblance of the Bentley CGT to the Chrysler. that is the main reason I don't understand the love for the Bentley.

    The problem with Ferrari is that people don't see them everyday and the horse throws them off. It has happened to me when I had my 360 so I can understand the mistake. The problem with the Bentley is the winged logo. These mistakes are usually honest and mostly humerous. We'll go on home in our prized toys and have a good laugh. They can't.

    I got asked this.

    I answered, "Poupon. Grey."

    I am a bit deaf in both ears though.

    Having my 328 parked sometimes parked at work here in Spain, a German colleague told me there was another Ferrari in the office's underground carpark. I rushed to see it to find out it was a Mustang. Later even a Porsche boxter was mistaken for a Ferrari by another colleague. It's Ferrari red and yes there's a horse as well, but I expected more car knowledge from an Italian guy!
    To be fair and looking from the Mustang point of view, the horse is actually running, whereas the Ferrari horse is just prancing. Hope I haven't started an anti-Ferrari joke now, on the other hand I don't care. Just hope you guys are not going point a finger at me and shout: Must-hang!!! Must-hang!!!

    If you place a mustang badge on the left and add a Ferrari badge to its right, then push the two horses together, it creates a picture that says it all, really!

    Never mustang. Corvette a few times, which I could partially understand. Many times, I first question whether they are trying to screw with me or not.

    Now, drive a Noble around and see the comments you get.
    -Porsche, Lotus, Ferrari, Kit Car, Mosler, MR2 with a body kit (this guy really pissed me off, telling me he had one the same, going on and on about it with random obsure details, then I realized he was serious).

    If people would just read (they usually walk around the car a bit) it would be much more effective. I actually made flyers answering all the questions I get on the Noble, saved me a lot of time at gas stations etc. 90% it was always the same dialogue.
    "What kind of car is that?" - "A Noble"
    "Ah, who makes that?" - "Noble does.."
    "Its not a Lotus?" "No.. Noble M12"
    "Wheres it from? " "British design"
    "So is it like a v10 or V12?" "Nope, twin turbo V6. 500hp. 2300 lbs."
    "Is it fast?" - "does a bear **** in the woods?"
    "ahhh, so how much is it?" "bout 100k"
    "wow, I thought id be like 500. do you drag race it? what have you beat?" "no.."
    "Can do you a burnout when you leave?" "no.."

    The one redeaming moment that makes up for all of the questions was when I was on my phone in front of the Noble at night, and I hear behind me "Bloody hell, you've got a Noble??" Thank God, finally someone knew what it was!!! Brit was in so cal on business..

    It gets annoying quite often with all of the (relative to us) stupid questoins.. I try to be as patient as possible. Not so much for the "trashy" people that just want to know how much the Ferrari was or if its fast.. then invariably ask what I do for a living. I can chat for 30 minutes with others that are halfway knowledgeable, touch of class and genuinely interested.

    I've owned several Lotus Esprit S1s, the first of which was a red one I bought in the late 1990s. In my first or second month of ownership, a loss of oil pressure led to my sitting at the bottom of a busy expressway off-ramp in Cleveland, Ohio (MLK drive off of I90 West). As I waited for the flatbed to arrive, I got a question or comment from roughly every third car that came down the off-ramp. It was an ongoing onslaught for about 40 minutes, and I was captive. The comments went like this:

    "Is that a FERRARI?!"

    "Is that a Lambadini [sic] ?!?"

    "Is that a FERRARI?!?"

    "Is that a PanTERa?"

    "Is that a FerRARi?!?"

    "Do you need any help?"

    "What kind of car is that?"

    "Is that a FERRARI?"

    "That thing looks like a death box!"

    "Is that a FERRARI?!?"

    "Is that a Lamborghini"

    "Do you need any help?"

    "What kind of car is that?"

    "Is that a FerRARri?"

    ~~~~~ 35 minutes later ~~~~~
    "Is that a FERRARI?!?"
    "Is that a PanTERa?!"
    etc...
    . . . and then, finally, one person stopped and asked with a tone of disbelief in his voice,
    Is that a LOTUS?!?
    and I said,
    "YES, it IS a Lotus! I've been here for half an hour, and you're the first one to guess it right!" :D :D :D
    "That's cool man!" was his reply, slightly amused by my own enthusiasm.
    I never thought it could feel like such a relief to have someone guess correctly what kind of car it is!
    A couple of minutes later, the truck came, and I spent the ride back home in a dizzy euphoria, replaying in my mind over and over that moment that made up for the litany of probably a hundred Ferrari/Lambo/Pantera/DeLorean questions and remarks. :eek:
    Haha, great! You understand me.. and faith in humanity is restored.
    After hearing "A what??" so many times, often I would just smile as politely as possible point to the badge.
