Funny how earlier this year the price was 30K cheaper---

Offered for sale on Ebay for $94K by Luxury Imports Online - 03/2008

Love this quote by the seller---" the 6 speed is much more desirable than the early F1 transmission, which was first introduced in 1998 and was jerky and unreliable"

I think I will call and ask how unreliable and what fact he has to base this on...

This dealership is near the rich and famous of the "hills" and "hollyweird" so they usually ask outrageous prices for their cars thinking they are the absolute last ones available and you should consider yourself honored that they would even talk to you about selling you one of their prized inventory. And if you have to talk price with them, then you obviously are not "anyone" and can't afford one of these cars, so that's why there is a Ford dealership across the street.

They are a classic depiction of the adage, "It doesn''t hurt to ask" as in price. Cheesh. I have never seen a single car there priced anywhere near market prices, so this ad is is no surprise, but is a laugh in the arena the car is offered - eBay. :)

I never have understood why 355 owners always seem to slate anyone who sells a 355 at the top of the price scale. I mean would it not be a great thing if the top end prices for these cars set a trend and all 355s went up in value?
I bet you that 246 Dino owners never bit*ed about the first Dinos being sold in the £100,000/$200,000 brackets a year ago. 2-3 years ago they were the same price as the 355s. Now look at em;) Do you think the 250 California owners bi*ched about Chris Evans buying one at a record price two months back? Hell no;)
So i say that if there are 355s selling for above market value, then good. It can only be good.
In the UK now you can pick up a 360 (some) for mid £30,000, and the 355s (some)are now worth more, and the top priced 355s (that at times do sell) are commanding mid to late 50Ks.To me that's great:)
So come on guys if we see highly priced 355s out on the market, lets rejoice and have all our fingers crossed for happy days:D
IMO the 355 is worth far more than the market values, rarther much like the 246 Dinos were.

Well, thats about as close to "new" as a 10 year old car can get... but it still needs a major right out of the showroom floor!
I'd pay the $125k just because it has that way cool cassette player!!

The rarest and the most sought-after F355s are 98/99 with six speed and low mileage. Many people are not inspired by 360/430 styling - especially since off-track performance difference is negligible. Also considering the over-list price or waiting-list abuse for a 430. For someone wanting an as-new-as-possible F355 and is not very price sensitive, this is a rare opportunity. There is a huge divergence between this example and the average eBay car.

I'm not sure about you guys but for me it has nothing to do with how much the car is worth.......

I have been watching the sales prices of 348's since I bought my 93SS#63. Yes, I could have paid less and been in a 348, but not the one I wanted :)

My point is, let them pay whatever they want. It isn't hurting any of us in any case. Worst case is when you go to sell your car someone thinks they are getting a bargain. Best case, it drives up prices. Great, unless you are buying one now !

I don't think Them selling that car at that price will help any resale or drive the price up. That car is pretty much brand new, well as new as it gets from the factory in 2009 even if it has 1500 miles on it that is super rare. If some gave me the money I would not buy it for that price. The only thing that is cool about this car is that the miles are low. I have seen super clean f355 with tan and factory carbon sport seats look brand new but have higher miles. There is really nothing big about it expect the price tag.
