    Hi , I ordered a new set of Enzo's tires from Tirerack.com .

After receiving the tires i noticed that the front tires was produced in 2004
and the rear tires was produced in 2006. As per Tirerack 2004 was the latest
production year and Bridgestone was the only one exclusive producer for this
    types of tires .

But my friend said to me Ferrai Seattle can get a new set of front tires from
    2008 production !
Tried to get some more info from Bridgestone and Tirerack but got no response
    until today !!!!

    What should i do ?

I can't speculate on the production of the tires, but if there's a chance that Ferrari of Seattle can get you the newest tires, there's no hurt in calling them to find out. Let us know how it goes.

If my math is right, you're 14 hours ahead of them. They're open right now and have been open for the last two hours. They'll be open for another seven and a half hours. Their number is 206.329.7070, or you can e-mail them at [email protected].

Is it safe to put 4 year old tyres on a car like an Enzo? I would much rather have brand new ones if they were available.

Installing tires 4 years after their production date it's a risk I would not take.

Specially in a fast car like the Enzo.

My choice would go for the Pirelli P Zero

Try Steve at Simply Tyres in the UK. He sorted me out with a new set of PZeros for my F40 last week which are made this year. I understood these were unobtainable or the waiting list was dire. His number is:

Last month I installed a set of P Zeros this size (Ferrari specification) of this year in a Maserati QP

Installed also Bridgestone in a 360 but I prefer the P Zeros

if you have an enzo in Bangkok ............. ok I am not going to be rude. Call up the dealership in the city and have them place a new set of tires on her.

I dont have an enzo, but I do have a 600+hp car and know how important tires are...BUT, if they have been sitting in a environment like tire rack has and there are no signs of cracks, still kinda greasy feeling, soft, then they are just fine. They have never been mounted, so they are pretty much new as can be. Dont get caught up in years UNLESS the tire is different, such as tread, speed rating, safety, ect.....

    I would just keep them

    Hi There

I would like to help in detail and point you in the right direction but I have commercial interest and havent spoken with admin for sponsorship yet.

But I would not use those tyres under any conditions. The shelf life of a tyre which has been stored perfectly is 5 years so the fronts are already very close to the end of there life and the rubber will be quite hard and very likely to start splitting when its on the car.

If I can help you further please email me.

    Regards
    Steve

    That was also my opinion.

I own a tire shop and I would never sell tires made 4 years before to a costumer, especially for this type of car.

    Sawadee,

Since you're in Thailand and much closer to Malaysia and Singapore and/or Hong Kong, why don't you PM our Fchatters in the respective countries, maybe they can help you out.

1.) Malaysia. PM Mr. Nazri under the nick of 'Fengtau'. He's got good vibes with the local Pirelli/Michelin/Bridgestone dealers in MY.

2.) Singapore. You can PM Jon (SFChallenge) or Lung (Lung7707). SG has good tyre stores and sometimes they even stock 'em for cars that are not available in SG...;) (You can't drive LHD in SG..)

3.) Hong Kong. Jon@Tezta. HKG has lots of exotics.

    Good Luck.

    I

Has anyone tried P Zero's on an Enzo? I use PS 2's on P 4/5 (different wheel size) which I really like. I wonder if the P Zero's are a better choice. They are available in Enzo sizes the PS 2's aren't.
