here is a 430 spider in the process of getting a matt black wrap. should be completed in a couple of days. what do you think? good idea, or a violation of all things holy and sacred? c Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
it's being done by the 3M dealer in Wellington. I just asked him for a quote, and we agreed a price. not sure how it was worked out, but I was happy with it. I had a close look today and the quality of their work is fantastic. they even managed to get the wrap in *under* the rear lights - that little recess that the lights sit in... c
his car, his coin, his choice. good job for having a crack. i find it fascinating they can bend and shape it around curves etc. that can't be done for clear film for stone protection
NART blue is elegant, tasteful and classy ... ... something i've never been particularly comfortable with. thanks for your feedback, tho ... c
Absolutely agree, would have commented unless he asked. The wrap film is thinner, conforms to the shape of the car better. it's amazing stuff, in that it's supposed to be able to be removed after a long time without damaging the paintwork. M
i plan to peel it off before i sell/trade it, or sooner, if I get sick of it. but we'll see how it goes. it's not permanent, so it's not the end of the world if it's a mistake. c
Main redeeming feature ! If I was gunna try this, I'd go for something more "out there": white & some black, or Lambo orange or lime green come to mind. M
Agreed! I thought matt black was out there enough! still you never know - maybe a change of colour in 12 months? It costs about the third of an annual service, for chrissakes! c
As am I. You can't really see it from the photos, but I looked closely at the Pininfarina badge in front of the rear wheels, and you can't see any edges around it at all! Remarkable! c
Looks cool C! I think its a great idea, protects the paint at the same time. Do they put a protection on the paint surface prior to laying the film over it? Just a fantastic way to play around with the look of your car without any hard to reverse changes. Definatly looking forward to completed photo's!!!
You did tell me it wasn't everybody's cup of tea, and it seems you're right. but let's see what it looks like when it's finished. Will post more pics in the weekend. c
Honestly bro, who cares what others think, its going to turn some heads and make quite a stir where ever you take it. Some will love it some will leave it. Can't wait to see it!!!!
Snow camo? That would be cool. The other camo's don't do much for me. This thread has got me thinking.......
