Ok, Sat. the 4th then Chesebro 9am. Steve, as there are different skill levels here, it would be more fun do to something that wasnt just a grind. If you want, you and I can go do bulldog if you want a grind.
Most Sat. mornings are tough for me lately, but there is an open invitation to anyone for our weekly wednesday ride. We meet at the Cheesboro lower lot at 4:45 and ride by 5, the ride time is typically 1.5 to 1.3/4 hours of pedal time . The group ranges from 5 guys to our record 2 weeks ago of 25 riders ( most with a skill level of middle to high.) Dusty has said many times that he will show up but he never does, hopefully one day. Damian on the other hand has every excuse in the book not to go like( I have a meeting at the Pub or my pet spider is sick). Come on guys lets rally our cars can't always do all the work, no pain no gain. Also starting November you need lights.
Scott: sounds good. I'll plan on showing up. thanks for the info. Can someone point out where cheeseboro is?
25? That's not a riding group, that's a mob! Impressive numbers!! Hey, are you that guy (or is one of your guys) in the Defender 90? Dark-green, offroad ready? Which route do you usually take?? The English are compelled to meet at pubs & drink....it's an important tradition to meet and bitterly complain about the French! As for the pet sick spider....that would have been my 360 spider, he just thinks it's his because it spends more time in his shop then my garage! (not really, but I had to work it into the response)...the car is running tip-top thanks to him! Good attitude!
Albert is the guy with the Defender. He rides all over. Great guy, very nice. Always out. He is in Vintage Guitars. Scott, I am so out of shape....and i used to do wed. early and that is why we would see each other in passing. Perhaps Next wed. I will starve myself until then.
FROM VCR 101 north, exit chesebro. Make right off fwy. Make First right on Chesebro, go straight for .5 miles. Rt. side. Parking in the lower and upper lot. Make note: Full stops, lots of Sheriffs. Also, go slow, residential, road narrows and it is horse property. Lots of horses on the roads.
good to know, much thanks! so if i'm coming from venice/santa monica, am i better off taking 1 into malibu then a canyon road north, or taking 405 up to 101?
A good spot is off Sunset and Kanter west of the 405. Turn right onto Kanter and take it all the way up. After you after the fire road up by bike there's a trail and then it will start going into rollers and jumps.
Did you guys make it out on sat? How was the ride? Anyone up for our group ride tomorrow at Cheese, 4:40 look for Scott.
Count me in - usually I'm on the road bike but Steve and Dusty have been asking me to try the trails with them, so let's do it!
Scott, thanks for the ride, GREAT GROUP and a GREAT RIDE. Had my ass handed to me. Had a great crash, my knee is killing me. Cant wait till next week. It is on now. The monster has awoken.
This Sat. Chesebro...as long as the swellingin my knee goes down. 9am chesebro 1. dusty 2 heather 3 steve r 4 kev355 5 don
my suggestion would be to go to performance. or if we push the ride back to 10am, we can meet at Agoura cycles and I can save you some $ as I get my friends a speical discount......
where's agora? that would be awesome. no need to push the ride back on account of me, would you be down to meet up before the ride sometime?
we could meet at agoura cycles which is 1 mile away from where we ride. We could meet there at 930. I will try to get the owner to staff someone there a little early. What exactly do you need?
