I have been going through the tool kit for my 1985 308 GTS QV and have questions that hopefully can be answered here. On the fuse and light bulb container it appears that I may be missing some items. What mounts horizontally in the middle? Are there 2 more bulbs that should be in here or is the horizontally mounted item using these 2 raised "holders" to rest on? The pliers have apparently never been used but shows a lot of worn away chrome plating and subsequent surface rust. Anyone know if this can be refinihed? If not, suggestions for who can supply a correct replacement? The 14mm wrench is the only one in the set with open one and box end. It also is the only one without the Ferrari logo as seen on the other wrench. Is this correct? Jeff Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Lamp/fuse box also has the rotor? Tom S. is our resident toll expert, he hangs out in Vintage mostly! All my early tool wrenches are open end, but maybe a later QV owner will chime in....
my tool kit was supposed to come with my car, its missing and the seller doesnt know where it is now. anyway, my jack kit had the following stuff in it, if it helps : Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
You got the reflector triangle Micheal, that's cool! I'd stay on him for the tool roll, that's not a cheap item, although FerrariUK had them for awhile less than $500 USD....
Steve Alhgrim at T. Rutlands told me that the reflector was Euro only - not US. Is that right? He also said I should have a trouble light but this is not listed in the owner's manual for the tool kit and I don't have one. Jeff
Stev'e correct, Jeff. The warning triangle was Euro only. The trouble or inspection light is shown in the contents of the glove box for the GTB. Barry
Barry, Page 39 of the owner's manual points to inspection lamp C as being inside the glove box of the GTB but also on page 39 where it diagrams the pocket on the back of the seat for the GTS there is no indication of the trouble light. does this mean that the trouble light is for B models only? Jeff
Car reaper, Is that a Euro headlight bulb in the center of your plastic case? That would explain why there is no evidence of there ever being something in mine (US market). Jeff
I'm looking at that now, Jeff. It's not listed nor are the contents of the pocket referred to. The owner's manual is full of mistakes. I would say that if you have the receptacle, then an ispection light should have been supplied with the GTS. This would be a good point to debate in concours. Barry
Recall that the console glove box doesn't exist on the GTS, so the trouble light has to go into the tool kit???
to answer the questions. my car is euro, and it actually came with 2 Italian warning triangles. i pulled them out and took pics for you die hard types. my car has the euro lights, which is why my bulbs are different. glad to help. ( tough crowd!) Image Unavailable, Please Login
My best guess is a that there would be a consistency across the wrenches ie all marked or all not marked - also I'm not sure I've ever seen blue handled pliers - from other threads I recall it was decreed (!) that not all the holes in the circular thing for lights/fuses are necessarily filled
Open door pockets on the 76-77s, we jam them full of music tapes, cigars and the new style LED flashlight! LOL! I don't recall ever testing the Factory light package, only one of my cars has one......
We have these triangles in stock: http://www.ricambiamerica.com/product_info.php?products_id=190231 IIRK, all the wrenches should have "Ferrari" either cast/forged into them, or printed in black on them.
