I know there are a few people actively looking for 550s right now. Have any of you checked this one out? Beautiful colour combo. A colour combo that I love so much that I had a model made to match. http://tinyurl.com/5dmu74 If anyone has seen this car, what did you think? Naples motorsports has a better one with less miles and less money. It also has a 30k mcintosh sound system. This may be my next car. http://clients.automanager.com/012359/VD.html?VID={223B6EA0-3AEE-3547-94E7-E174B7F8067B}#AM_Features I'm not sure if that link will work but maybe. My 456M is the same color the Blu Nart 523. It's very rare in both of these cars. Only two 456's.
That's a very nice 550 Mark. See if this link works: http://tinyurl.com/6mltap Does it look like it's been lowered? I do love factory stamped shields on blue 550s though. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Both the Naples and Cavallo cars appear to be pretty nice. The Naples 550 says the interior is blue, which is not a great seller if it's true. [It looks black in the photos.] The Cavallo car says "Beige" but looks to be Cuoio in the photo. Go figure. Knowing nothing about the Cavallo car, just on what's listed there, $110k asking does seem a bit strong for a '99 with 22k on the clock, IMO. ketel
Not trying to hijack this thread, but didn't really want to start a new one, since these two cars have more in common than not. Color combo and engine [well, almost engine] Beautiful combo, and apparently only one of two ... NOW up for sale on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ferrari-456-1999-Ferrari-456-M-GTA-Very-Rare-NART-Blu-and-Tan_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ39Q3a1Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a10Q7c240Q3a1308QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem330272014474QQitemZ330272014474 Don't know why he made such small pics. Dealer from Roswell, GA. With a BIN of $71K it seems like a nice buy. ZFFWP50A2X0112614 rik Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It's not a dealer. Thats one of mine. I thought that was you that asked the question. I made a post about it last week and put up the ad to see what the market looked like. I'm getting some good responses, so the market might be stronger than I thought. I'm trying to change it for the 550 so I can mix things up in my garage, plus I would like to track the 550. I'll make you a good deal if you want it.
I'll try to post larger pics. My pics were sized for Ferrari chat. You can see more of them in the 456 photos thread.
from your last two posts: THIS IS A GREAT combo, for BOTH, only truly wish I had the room and timing to pull trigger on both, but the 550 would be the next one. BTW, perhaps I missed it, but how many B Nart 550's were produced from Factory? Not caring much for a redo after fact. rik
I don't have an exact number. It was more than the 2 456's. Probably 10-15. Once the TDF blue came out everyone switched to that blue. I really like the NART blue. You can really tell the difference between the two when you see it next to my Swatters blue 355.
I have the other One and boy is it a nice and unique Colour. Great Example Mike and all the effort and work you have put into it ... Someone is gonna be very very lucky - If I was in the states I would have bought it. Nice to see, that your gonna go for a 550 looks great in that combo, and I think will be more fun for you! kindest regards Aamir
The Nart blue 550 at Naples Motorsports sold so maybe it was the original poster. I think mine has sold as well and I had lots of people interested. Nart blue really is one of the best colors.
Hiya, my shields are actually Yoshi's - I bought these about a week after I bought the car - They went with the yellow centre caps which TBH as Mike has said are not the originals for the Modificata but I like them on the Blu NART. Just about to get some new ones which will freshen up - the look. I do like my colour, but initially was looking for a TDF but had to "do" with this one as it ticked all the right boxes and now I love the colour and impressed by its rarity. I am slightly saddened that Mike has sold his 456 but I am sure it has gone to a good home - It seems to be it's sibling across the pond. I hope the new buyer continues to post up some nice pics as Mike has done in some really lovely sunshine - something rare in the UK.
I'm going to have something else blue in the garage to go with my other blue Ferrari. Although my wife says I should look at other colors since I have a blue truck as well. At least I bought a Black BMW to mix it up a little. I was going to buy the Nart Blue 550 in Florida, but someone beat me to it. For such a down economy the blue cars seem to be going fast. I actually bought the correct center caps and never put them on the car, so the new owner will get to choose which ones he likes. I haven't quite sold it yet, we are struggling to find a PPI guy in Atlanta to look at the car since it's an out of state buyer. Oh and I'm Mark even though I get confused for a Mike all the time. Two other people called me Mike today. The guy looking at buying the car is a Mike. Strange coincidence huh. I took a bunch more good shots in the last week for people who were looking at the car. Sometime I'll post the whole set. it's almost fall here which makes for good pictures with a blue car.
Just curious mwhitesell, How hard are you finding it to keep your blue Ferraris clean and swirl-free? Would you not think a Titanium, Grigio Alloy or Azzurro California 550 easier to live with? ketel
Sorry - Mark, not Mike my apols. I find mine quite hard to keep swirl free stone chips do also show up on the front bumper - but overall the shine and metallic look make up for it + when traveling fast yo cant see anything
My TDF blue 2000 550 had lots of swirls and surface scratches when I bought it. My F car mechanic has a detail shop and did a clay treatment, light machine polish and three coats of wax. He removed 90%+ of the swirls and scratches. To quote one recent stop light admirer, "Unbelievable!"
