"Ralphie Cifaretto on The Sopranos: "A Boxster is a Porsche in panties.""

My wife said something similar when I was thinking about a Porsche. When I mentioned considering a Boxter, she responded, "That's a girls car, get a 911!" Wish she would have said "Get a Ferrari 328!"

Speaking of grey, shouldn't this thread be in the "Off Topic/Cars..." forum instead of 308/328/Mondial?

    BTW Barry, nice 944!

    :D Thanks.

A 1986 535i.... Completely refurbished and brought to better-than-new condition by the previous owner.

And it is FAST. This morning a brand new 5er challenged me to do a traffic light sprint. Don't know what engine it had. Not an M5, for sure, but no lame model either. He hadn't counted on being beaten by this silly looking old wagon :D:D:D

And the good part? It was dirt cheap. (It has cost me 1/10th of the 328 GTS that my girlfriend has just bought ;))

My mom drives her 2006 Boxster (Guards Red) all year round. Throws snow tires on for the winter here in Chicago and the car drives great. It really is a beautiful little machine. Great Great DD!

    Too cool!!!

I've had the 928 on my shortlist of cool vehicles to buy for a long time (along with a Ferrari 400), but I ended up buying the BMW. It's just that tiny bit more practical...

Love the color on your GT4 too, by the way...

Wow, this thread is cool and ironic at the same time! Nice to see another 928 in the group. I've been lurking for a while, listening and learning, and am looking for a 308 qvl or 328 GTS... someday...

Right now have a '90 928GT and love it, but I think I may love a 308/328 more!

I've got a 928GTS and a 328 GTB and I got to get rid of one of them.
    Wich one should go?
Just dont know ,such different cars but the GTS have got so much torque compare to the 328.

You know what is so crazy about the 924, 944 is that they still look pretty damn modern for being so aged. The instrument cluster and dash have a very timeless appearance.

The 924 was the first nice car I ever owned and I loved it.

Thanks for the positive responses. It was a real stroke of luck to find a GT4 to match the colour of my 928!

bigred, that's a tough one. It depends on what you use them for? If you sold the 328 would you get another Fcar later? There aren't too many cars that have the same blend of talents as the 928. In my opinion the 928 would be harder to replace, but the 328 is the more sensible investment.

I've always loved the 928...but loved the 911 just a little bit more. The hard part was breaking the news to the 911 we were having another "child". They get along well and keep each other company when I'm gone....

When I broke the news to my 308 that we were having another child (911) it seemed to take it okay. Until I parked the 308 on my lift and parked the 911 under it. Then the 308 marked its turf on the 911 after an oil line leaked. They've since come to an agreement.

great to hear . . .your 911 must be the air cooled dry sump variant which play happily with my 308 and have mutual respect . . . the newer water called variants have some genetic/social issues :) . .. except for the GT3's but they weren't bred at the same farm :)

    cheers
