I posted this before, but here is a Mattel Elite 1:18 Mondial 8 re-done to a later model Mondial 3.2 coupe using wheels, bumpers and other parts from a Kyosho 1:18 328 GTB.

Definitely looks better. However I believe these (Enkei) wheels were used on the later versions F40LM
Who cares though as long as they look good. If you are building a "street" F40LM then you can put whatever wheels you want.

As far as I know they were only used on some of the GTE's. But they could be fitted to any F40 with ease.

Thank you. That's what I meant by later versions-the GTE. I've seen an LM with HRE wheels so I guess there are people out there that put all kind of stuff on their cars. Plus these Enkei wheels were really used in races on the F40. 15 Years later Pagani put them on their Zonda as the standard wheel for the model.

The original "chrome" 599 was made for Jean Todt. I wish they found a way to replicate the carbon fiber mirrors

Where are those wheels and tires from? They are SO much nicer then the 4x4 tires that Hot Wheels gives us.

The model comes this way from Mattel. It is not a custom job. Which reminds me that it is in the wrong thread.

    The wheels are not original.

    It is a mod.

I don't know for sure about this particular piece in the picture, but HW has announced this exact color/wheel combo quite some time ago. The other one that is two tone red/silver has the same wheels but they are chrome and it is already out. So I would not br surprised to see this one out pretty soon (if it isn't already released)
