Drank all the Bud Light my dad had on hand throughout the Hurricane weekend. Still not a fan of it. But I had 2 of my moms Blue Moons (think that's what they are) and I had some seriously f*cked up dreams last night. Not bad, just insanely bizarre. Anyone experienced this after drinking this type of beer?
In college whiskey was my drink. I went through a lot of wild turkey 101. When I graduated I switched to wine. On New Years '07 I think? I decided to have a go. I had three cups with barely any in it. It was the most drunk I've ever been. Needless to say I woke up on the floor in my friends spare bedroom next to the bathroom. I don't remember much from that night. Had a fear of whiskey ever since.
Leffe is probably my favorite "industrial" beer. However, the non-pasteurized beer you can find in Germany is on a whole other level...
Three Floyds makes great beer. I think they are out of Munster, Indiana, but I might be wrong about that.
Firehouse American Ale. Anybody have any other good American Ale recommendations? (Not the new Bud Ale, that's still too Euro-hoppy for me).
Since the AB/InBev deal I've been drinking a lot of beers from Boulevard (Kansas City mega-micro-brewer), pretty good stuff. Pale Ale and Unfiltered Wheat are my faves. However, only available in the midwest
Berliner Kindl Weisse. Impossible to find, but great summer/ refreshing beer. Used to be available in some of the German neighborhood grocery/liquor stores and imported I believe through Paterno imports out of Chicago.
I love Lone Star, it's been a long time though... Lately I've been drinking Budweiser's American Ale, it's really good as a dinner brew. Tastes better in a chalice but let it settle for at least 30 seconds or so after pouring. Otherwise the caramel will be a bit too prevalent. Image Unavailable, Please Login
http://www.unibroue.com/products/fin.cfm La Fin Du Monde. This beer blew me away! It is an amazing beer that I am now going to be buying on a very frequent basis.
Trappistes Rochefort 10........simply amazing if you can fork over about $9 for a bottle. Good for a special event.
Drank a bottle (big bottle) of the red top last night. It was quite nice. I was already a few beers in though so i'll probably try it again soon, and this time pay more attention to the taste
They usually have a 3-pack; red, white and blue with a trappist (I think that's what it's called) glass. Worth checking out.
I know. My friend told me about a place not to far away that apparently has a lot more selection that the place i go to now. I might check it out tomorrow
Managed to snag one of these yesterday. I guess they just didn't have them when i went last time. Impressions soon
